After a week in Florida, we were pretty much sick of eating theme park burgers, hotdogs, pizza and all the other unhealthy stuff we were filling our faces with. My 13 year old daughter even asked me to go to Walmart and buy some broccoli!! Unbelievable, I know.
So we looked on tripadvisor for something different, and sweet tomatoes popped up. So off we trekked to Kissimee. On entry, it took a good few seconds to understand the process, but once we got started it was like a breath of fresh air. Outstanding salad selection, all fresh and good quality. The soups were mostly excellent, with some superb fresh breads. Top it off with a small range of pasta, baked potatoes and muffins/brownies/ice cream for desert, washed down with refillable drinks, and you have a winner.
Not hugely expensive - $45 for a family of 4 including drinks; we've been paying $100 per night for very average food, so I was very happy to pay half that for a meal that put a smile on everybody's face. My only complaint is that it closes very early - 21:20 and the food was being cleared ready for the restaurant closing. Another 10 or 15 minutes would have been appreciated to properly end the meal on a high. However, a highly recommended dining experience as a change to theme park food fatigue.
