Don't get me wrong: the title to my review is not meant to steer you away from this restaurant. Being from the Caribbean, I have a pretty good idea of what island food - from the different islands and Caribbean cultures - Hispanic, Creole, Jamaican etc. - should taste like. The title is only meant to alert you to my perception of the food offered at Bahama Breeeze: it is as Caribbean as American-Mexican food is to real Mexican food, or as American-Chinese is to real Chinese food, etc. In other words, it is a stateside version of island food. Having clarified that, I must confess that I LOVED THE FOOD HERE!. Portions are very generous, but what is more important, very tasty and well-presented. The server went out of her way to please an elderly and handicapped person at my table of four. Among the dishes we tasted - all excellent - were paella, coconut shrimp, crab stack, lobster and shrimp quesadillas; the deserts we ordered were out of the ordinary and truly scrumptious. And the coffee, so often a let-down at even fine-dining restaurants, was a fantastic Blue Mountain Jamaican blend.! This dining venue is very inviting and offers inside and outside seating. I highly recommend Bahama Breeze to locals and tourists.
