“Tasty Tasty Tasty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

Alway have a take away from here while on holiday, the food is always first class and tasty, my favourite dish from here is the mixed pakora for starter, followed by kurma which they make. Mild for me, accompanied by nan bread, cost wise it's reasonable enough and one main dish easily does two people.

Ordering over the phone was easy, and for once somebody in Florida actually understood what I was saying :)

Definitely worth a visit and a great change after 2 weeks of steaks and seafood....

“Outstanding Service and Genuine Indian Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

If you are looking for mouth watering Indian food, then this is the place to go. It's just had a make over with new seating and decor. The staff here are always welcoming from the moment you walk in the door. We've been eating in here since it opened a few years ago, and we've never had a bad experience. When you see lots of "Indian" people eating in an Indian restaurant, and not all tourists, then you know it must be doing something right! :)

“Really good Indian food. Worth driving to.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

A member of Saratoga Springs recommended this restaurant. He was spot on. Authentic Indian. Excellent selection of items. We tried three chicken dishes: saag (spinach/curry), butter and tikka masala. It was all very flavorful!

The spice level is something you can adjust. I had the medium and it added sweat to my brow and contentment to my soul.

Enjoy!

“Great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013 via mobile

Great curries, quite different to what we would get in UK but lovely and tasty nonetheless. Service was good, as was the price. Decor a bit lacking but hardly an issue. Was very busy on saturday night so would recommend booking.

“Persauaded by great reviews...........but really just ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

After reading the great reviews here and missing our usual Friday night Indian take away from back home we took a trip up past old town to try this place. Encouraged by the Trip Advisor awards of excellence notices for the last few years displayed on the door we knew the food would be good. The restaurant itself was empty but there was a stream of people in either collecting or giving take -out orders, so again an encouraging sign. The staff member taking our order was polite and welcoming and the price was reasonable. For the 3 of us our take out consisted of onion bhaji, & chicken pakora as a starter then we had chicken jalfrezi, chicken madras & a chicken vindaloo with plain and garlicnan bread. I specifically asked for the Madras and Vindaloo to be made spicy hot as I know from ordering Indian meals before in the US that they don't come as hot as we have them back home. Well we got back to the villa and given the aroma from thepackage we were eager to get "tucked in". While the meals were fresh and tasty, just like before they were nowhere near as 'hot and spicy" as we would have liked - there wasn't really much distinction between each of the three different meals either in ingredients or flavour and certainly not in "hotness" in fact as the dishes were not labelled we just had to try and guess which was which. Another major thing about them - where was the chicken? - honestly only about 3-4 pieces of chicken in each dish, mostly just sauce and very salty. To summarise I suppose this place gets the great reviews because it is the best out of anly a few Indian restaurants in the area. We have only found another one close by (The Clay Oven - rubbish - don't waste your money!) Passage to India is now closed (used to like that one) so I suppose there isn't alot to choose from. Yes the food is fresh, yes it tastes fine - it's not brilliant, it's not like the dishes we have in the Indian Take Aways back home in the UK, nowhere near as hot & spicy but for anyone looking for a change from the usual chains while on your Orlando vacation then it will do the job. So we've tried it once - probably won't bother again but like I say maybe this is as good as it gets here. No marks lost on customer service though. Just another thing to add - doen't deliver we tried that the night before our visit.
