I played a round at Kissimmee Oaks last week during our family vacation. Tee times were booked through a leading tee times website, where I paid $15. At this price the course is pretty good value, though i personally would not pay full green fees.
Small pro shop, with all the usual stuff. The 'bar' was more a cafe, but served beer etc at very resonable prices. Practice green was good and similar to main greens.
Fairways were in good condition, as were the greens, pretty smooth without and damage. The rough however is a nightmare, it seems to sit about 2 inches above the surface of the ground, so hitting short irons is like trying to play from a driver tee. Also, the course appeared to have suffered from heavy wind recently, with lots of dead branches etc littering the course. I do not know how long they had been there.
The course itself is a nice layout, generally with wide fairways that do not punish the less skilled players so much. Some highlight holes were 4 - 200+ yard carry over water then an iron on to a green with water surrounding; 7 - aim at the marker post and hit at least 230+ to clear the weeds, theres a large landing area but hit the ball off to the side and the hole suddenly is much tougher, cannot see landing area from the tee; 9 - maybe long hitters could reach the green but otherwise its an accurate iron down the left to leave a short pitch to the green; 12 - par 3 but all over water; 15 - good distance control with a 90-degree dog leg right (can cut the trees but need to hit a high ball to do so) otherwise this hole is tough.
I overheard someone say that 15 holes have water in play, but during the round i didnt lose a ball (which is unusual) so it is not set up to difficult.
Overall a nice course, particularly if available at reduced rates. I would play there again, though not at full price. There is also a lot of wildlife, many cranes and apparently gators in some of the lakes, so maybe bring a camera.
