Clean basic but functional. Breakfast carb lovers dream but does fill a gap, we didnt eat all the time as needed some protein and decent carbs, but there is nice orange juice. Rooms are cleaned every day, fresh towels and sheets. TV has good channels (if ever too tired after parks to go out). Location to parks is very good and plenty of eating outlets within walking distance. Get ready to sprint if you want to cross the highway you get very little time, we mastered jay walking/running towards the end of our stay. The shop has most things you need but is pricey, left out of the hotel about 1/4 mile there is a 7/11 very cheap, 12 packs of pepsi for 4 dollars.

Staff very friendly, many people complain about lack of space for breakfast, this is true but everyone will share their table space and it is a great way to chat to others, the americans are so friendly and will give very useful tips.
Excellent holiday and motel fine.

I didn't appreciate the bedding at all - the blankets were old and pilled and therefore I could not trust the cleanliness of the room. There were tiny ants on the counter around the sink area. The staff was friendly enough. I thought the included breakfast is indicative of poor American eating habits - just a bundh of donuts and not a piece of fruit in sight.

This was a nice place to stay for the money. Rooms were clean, grounds were clean, staff was friendly. We had no problems. Continental breakfast was a little boring, could use more variety, but it was ok none the less. Could watch disney fireworks from upper balconey.

We returned 01/28/06 from a week's stay at this hotel. After reading some negative reviews for this hotel, I had to write a very positive review of the hotel.
It's located on SR 192 which is a three lane highway both directions until you get rural. There's lots of notable restaurants and tourists stores along this highway. Going east from the hotel on 192, there are Walmart's, K-Marts, Targets, and almost every kind of store that you would want. The hotel is very close to Disney if you are going there and about a 20-30 minute ride to downtown Orlando. If you are going to Florida's East Coast however, I would use an alternate route than SR 192. It's stop and go with many traffic lights all along most of the road until it hits the "boonies" where it turns into a single lane.
The only oddity that we encountered at the hotel was that the management requested a photocopy of a credit card to allow room access to an outside line for calls. We said that we were using a Calling Card and no room charged calls would be made but they said that this was policy.
The pool was warm and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and fresh smelling. The grounds were clean and neat. We did not use the small reataurant however. We reserved almost 9 months in advance so we had a ground floor room. It is a three story motel, pink in color.
It was our first stay here but we would definitely stay here again. We got a hotel/flight combo package from a well-known Internet website. We changed our original hotel due to bad reviews on trip advisor to this one and I am glad we did.
This was our second winter trip to Orlando. We missed two New England snowstorms again and we will continue to monitor trip advisor. Enjoy your stay at Quality Inn Maningate West.

We had reservations for this hotel in October 2004, but they had some sort of hurricane damage (although they still had plenty of guests checking in!), and they sent us to the hotel across the street for the same rate we booked (I believe the rate was around $40/night). As an apology, we were given a 2 nights free voucher for this hotel good for a year. I had never expected to stay in Orlando/Kissimmee again (I have no interest in theme parks, which is really the only thing to do in the area), but I ended up attending a weekend-long music event in Februrary 2005 and luckily used the voucher with no trouble!

This is a no-frills hotel, but everything appeared clean and well-maintained, which I feel is most important. The staff were always helpful (if they didn't have an answer, they would take the time to find someone who did!), and when I needed a handyman to fix the safety latch at 9 PM, he appeared in 10 minutes, absolutely the quickest service of that nature I've had at a hotel! Although I had a car, there were local bus stops nearby, and some 24 hour chain restaurants such as Denny's in walking distance. The surrounding area does have heavy car traffic, but is very pedestrian friendly. My room was quiet, even with a visiting youth football (soccer) team playing in an empty area of the parking lot.

My only complaint is the swamped breakfast area located in the lobby. I come to expect this sort of situation in hotels anymore, but with the amount of people in the small lobby each day, it may be a good decision for the hotel to expand this area a bit.

Overall, if I find myself needing a hotel in the Orlando area, I would definitely try to get a room at this hotel again. The rates (even without a free night voucher) are great for this heavy tourist area, and the room & staff quality went above my expectations for the price.
