I planned a 2 night stay at this hotel and was extremely dissatisfied with not only the first room...I went as far as trying 3 different rooms and all 3 were HORRIBLE! Dirty, smelly, spiders everywhere outside the room on the 3rd floor & would like all to know not to be fooled by those pictures you see! The front desk staff were very rude and unhelpful. I did NOT get the full refund to my astonishment. Aside from the horrible experience of having to go from room to room to room and did not stay not but a mere 5 minutes at most to "be generous" in each...the staff refused my first nights stay refund. They even said they didn't have a ph # to reach anyone higher (mgr) than them to resolve this which is totally bogus. Extremely dissatisfied all around and would NOT ever stay there again even if it was free.

Nice older motel, Quiet, clean. All you could ask for the price.

This motel is ideal for a budget stay in Florida. It's about 10 mins from Hollywood Studios and Epcot, about 20 mins from the other main theme parks.

As others have said, the rooms are a bit outdated. Think 1970s Travelodge. They could do with a good steam clean and a good vac, but overall are cleaner than the 5 star WDW Dolphin I stayed in, in 2006! We booked through Hayes and Jarvis and paid about £20 a night including breakfast.

If you like to breakfast like a king, the "continental breakfast" may not be for you. Coffee, tea, juice, toast, waffle mixture, cereals, and a very cramped room to consume it in. Better still go to Sizzler about 500m away, all you can eat for $4.

The rooms have shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, soap, tea, coffee, sugar (all replaced daily), coffee maker (not great but it works), ice bucket (fill from machines on each floor) and a digital safe. There are lots of face flannels and towels (mainly white and fluffy with the odd exception) but they are VERY small. Linen is changed as often as you like (leave a little sign on the bed), and towels are replaced every day. The beds are VERY comfortable.

The pool is clean, if basic, and not used by many guests so often empty.

There is a shop selling lots of useful bits and pieces (and lots of tat!). Tip: don't give your mail to the guy in the shop - he charges an extra 40c per postcard, and I'm not feeling that confident that the cards will ever arrive ... There are drinks machines on every floor (no water though, spookily) and there is a washing machine and some driers.

There is also a large TV with numerous channels. There is a Chinese restaurant in the car park but we didn't try it. Our favourite restaurants in the vicinity were Red Lobster and IHOP.

Due to its proximity to the 192, there is road noise, but it isn't that bad and after long days in theme parks, we just didn't let it bother us. Head hit pillow ... sleep !

Overall, this is a bit of a case of "you get what you pay for" but after dreadful experience at the Dolphin, I would definitely return here due to its many advantages.

his hotel was had very disappointing customer service and staff.

First, the shuttle service they offered took us to the wrong theme park 40 minutes late without any explanation. The 9:00 PM shuttle did not show up so we waited till 10:40 for the 10:30 bus to show up.

We asked to meet with the manager by appointment about it and asked for her the following day. The front desk refused to let us see her stating that the shuttle is not the manager's responsibility. We met with the manager (Rocio) to discuss this bus situation but it did not solve anything. Instead of listening to what we had to say, she continually interuppted us mid-sentence and told us we were wrong. My friend who stayed at the hotel with me got angry and started to raise her voice. The manager did the same. I have never met a manager who actually YELLED at a customer till i met her. She told us she didn't believe us because we were the only people who have complained about this situation. But that was because either the other families were foreigners and didn't know how to voice their complaints.

The hotel room itsself was okay for it's price. We did have however, ants around the sink that kept on popping out.

My main point is:
The manager is absolutely rude and holds no responsibility in her job. That itself, just ruined my whole hotel experience at Quality Inn Maingate West.
