While booking a night at a Holiday Inn for a sporting event last year, I was transferred through to the Holiday Inn Club Vacation reservation office where I was offered 3 nights, 4 days for a very low price at this resort. Months and months later, we took advantage of the deal. We knew ahead of time that we were going on the basis of giving them the chance to sell us a time share. We decided well ahead of time that we would go, listen, get our 'free' gifts, say no a million times and be done with the entire thing. We were really only there to take advantage of the cheap accommodations while we learned the layout of Florida so we could plan future trips and things to do when our family was a little bigger. The resort was a reasonable distance from the airport and the highways were easy to navigate, Florida drivers are terrible by the way. We arrived at the resort late on a Monday night. We were greeted by security at one of the two entrances at the resort and given directions to the check in desk. It was very comforting that they had Security stationed at the roadways leading up to the resort. Upon check in, I was given a map and some promotional stuff (wasn't interested in the promotional stuff, I'm far too skeptical) but the map made me realize just how big this place actually was. The drive to the suite was a few minutes, the speed limits are low (and safe, great for a family environment). During the day, I was able to see how well kept the grounds were. We stayed in the East Village, made our way up to the room and before I opened the suite door, I thought to myself "this key card better work because if i have to drive all the way back to the front desk, I'm not going to be happy." Well, the card worked and inside was a large two bedroom condo. Wide, accessible hallways leading to a full kitchen, dining area, living room (no flat screen tv, just an old tube tv but who watches tv on vacation?), two bedrooms (very big), the master with an on suite... All pictures are already in the photo's section so I won't bother posting any. The condo was very clean when we arrived, the lack of daily maid service was actually very welcomed. I'm so tired of some stranger being in my room while I'm out every day... Plus, if you can't pick up after yourself for a few days, you have issues. The room overlooked a golf course and at night, we were able to see the Disney fireworks from the enclosed patio. The resort was conveniently located beside Disney and all other major amenities that you may need. There's a ton of chain restaurants and a publix grocery store right near by. In the end, we were actually so pleased with the resort that we're planning to return next year. The tour did run on a bit but they lived up to all their offers and in the end, we were very satisfied with everything.
