“A Good Nights Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

After reading all of the reviews, my daughter and I decided to stay. To get there, don't use mapquest, because the street name they gave me (Captain Kidd Road) isn't the name of the street its off (Secret Lake Dr.). It's behind the McDonald's and Houlihan's Restaurant. The rooms are small, but adequate. The bed linens needed to be just a tad bit bigger, as they kept coming off the bed up near the headboard. But really that wasn't such a big deal. The staff was very pleasant, and went above and beyond. When we got there, our remote didn't work. Took it up to the front desk and he put new batteries in, it then at least lit up. But when I took it back to the room, it still wouldn't turn on. Desk attendant then came down, but he couldn't get it to work either. They had to call the manager in (it was a Sunday). He came in, pushed a few buttons, got it working. He was gracious about getting called in, which was nice. The breakfast is adequate, not great, but for the price (free) what can you expect. As far as the beds goes, like someone else said, the beds are very comfortable. Definitely will stay there again. Very close to a lot of restaurants and to Disney World.

We spend 8 nights while we was visiting Disneyworld. The price was pretty good, the room was small, but has everything we need! The breakfast was good, but the restaurant room was really small, and always busy! A lot Brazilians Tourists! Its close by Target, Olive Gardens Restaurant and a bunch of other restaurants

A very relaxing stay. The staff was very kind, helpful, and welcoming. The breakfast was good as well as the beds. They were very comfortable. I would stay here again, mostly because of the welcoming staff. They made me feel right at home.

We stayed the week of the 4th of July last summer and had a great time. Yeah, things seemed dated, but what can you expect from the bargin that this place is. Everything was clean and pool was nice. The beds that were in our room were extremely comfy, or I was too tired to care. The only complaint I'd have with our visit is the continental breakfast wasn't what was expected, but hey, probably would have went out for breakfast somwhere else anyway so I'm not going to down them for that, again what can you complain about for something that is offered for free. This location is perfect for Disney, would be staying there next month but they are booked up during the week my family and I are going. My fault I booked so late, not theirs. If you are going to Universal though, stay somewhere closer to there. Not Destiny Palms fault traffic is bad. Overall, if you are looking budget friendly, stay here, I will again.

We stayed at Destiny Palm or 2 nights in the end of January 2013, it's a nice place the rooms are a bit small but otherwise it.s just to recommend, very nice staff and a quiet area. not in the center of Kissimmee but close enough to be a good choice for a visit at Disneyworld and central Florida.

The hotel is located west of I-4 and World Drive on 192, which is the quieter, less developed area of 192. It is behind Houlihan's and a McDonalds, so initially its a bit hard to find. The building itself is dated, with indoor corridors and a small lobby area. For the price, having indoor hallways was nice, most hotels in this catagory are more motel types.

We had to wait a long time for check in as there was only one person at the desk who did not eve acknowledge our presence for at least 5 minutes. A "hello be right with you" would have been nice. I requested a non ground floor room when I made the reservation and was first given a room 110...ground floor. I asked to be changed, and was accommodated. The hotel is non smoking which was nice.

The king room is very small and it only had a modular shower stall. The lighting was very dull in the room and made the room very depressing looking. There was a small refrigerator and a toaster oven in the room which was a nice touch if you are staying for a longer time. We were there 5 days and did use the refrigerator. The TV is digital and flat panel, the only thing updated in the room.
They offer free wifi in the rooms, but it is spotty and was hard to connect to internet sites. They also offer free continental breakfast which is adeqate as such. You can walk to either McDonalds or Houlihans if you prefer a bigger, hot breakfast.
If you are looking for an economical, secure, quieter place to stay in Kissimmee, this place is adequate. It offers good value for what they offer.

Room Tip: Ask for an upper floor facing the back if you want more quiet. The rooms to the front face the back...

I have this place on my gps as the bedroom because their beds are so comfy. The hotel is super clean and the management and staff are so nice and helpful. My favorite hotel in central Florida and I travel extensively. If you're in Kissimmee and you're not here, you're in the wrong place!
