“Great lunch for a great price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2010

I had the most awesome blackened fish sandwich for $5.00, I have paid twice as much and not been so satisfied. Cold beer and great service and NFL ticket, what else is there.
As for the last two reviewers, I am not sure where they had wings, but it wasnt at the Hurricane. The Trash Can wings (all the sauces combined) are the best. As far as overcooked, it is certainly better than a half cooked, greasy, fatty wing. Not much to look at but you could do a lot worse in Marathon than the Hurricane.

“Kind of a dive with overcooked wings”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2010

Not my favorite Marathon restaurant. Kind of a dive with overcooked wings. Good place to watch the game and have a beer but best to skip the food.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. The food is awesome. Get the nachos they are the best in Florida. The thai stir fry is fantastic.

“Surprisingly great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2010

The look of the Hurricane is deceiving - it appears to be an aging locals haunt, with a rowdy bar scene at night. But they must have some amazing help in the kitchen. Some of the food is typical bar food - wings and such, but then they blow you away with a homemade lobster bisque that could be served at a 5 star restaurant.

You don't have to be in town long to hear about that $5 lunch - truly great food for not much money.

In response to another reviewer, we would have to say that our service was friendly, without being intrusive, and very efficient - no service complaints here.

We give the Hurricane two thumbs way up.

“Average Bar-style Food, Service Friendly, but SLOW. Understaffed.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2010

Front desk at our hotel recommended The Hurricane Grill. He said that he ate at The Hurricane twice a week. We were somewhat disappointed. The restaurant is more a bar and on the night we went it was understaffed. The waitress was a nice gal, but couldn't give anyone decent service. I had the Tuna and Tomato Salad and the tuna was not good quality. Since it was sushi-style, I only took a few bites because I couldn't trust the freshness. My daughter had the country fried chicken and her dish was better, but nothing to return to. My hubby had fish tacos which he said were 'nothing special.' The highlight at Hurricane Grill is the amazing Lego collection. They have re-created Miami's South Beach district in a huge glass case. Worth the stop for a cold beer and a peek. Just don't order the food.
