“Maybe the best beach in the Keys”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Visited this beach several times. Rented houses near Sombrero Beach when possible. Really nice beach (for the Keys) with a clean, well set up park attached. Good spot to sun and Manatee watch. I prefer this beach over the better known Bahai Honda Beach. It is also no charge for entrance or facilities use.

“Very nice, so relaxing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

We stayed at a very nice resort but wanted to experience a local beach. We loved it so much we went back three times. They have a play ground, very clean restroom facilities, outdoor showers to clean off and plenty of beach. There is sea grass but it's not bad at all. Do visit this beach. You won't be disappointed.

We spent an afternoon here. Beautiful white sandy beach. Played some beach volleyball. Decent restroom facilities.

“Lovely”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Just returned from a delightful respite at this public beach..Lovely place, water, palms for shade, restrooms super clean, playground and benches/tables. Parking is great because it runs both sides of the road right at walkways. The parking lot was equal locals and tourists. Gazeboes and small shaded huts with picnic tables all around. The sand is soft and the breeze delightful. It is located at mile marker 50 on ocean side across from Crane Point Museum and Trails. The gift shop was good for kids nature items. Was a bit disappointed because place seemed a bit run down and in need of repairs. Senior admission was $10. This is on bay side.

“Lovely Family Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Sombrero is a public white sand beach on the Atlantic Ocean. It is a beautiful area to swim, snorkel, walk or picnic. What makes it such a great family beach is there are restrooms and showers, a wonderful playground, and picnic tables in addition to the beach.

You must bring your own chairs, umbrellas and food.
