“Great food, hearty portions, and friendly service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

We stop here every time on our way down to Key West or if we stay in Marathon. Good food and local seafood prepared fresh. They brought us bread and the owner chatted with us. Food came out quickly and was tasty. The children enjoyed their giant cookies after their meals. Adults were too full to try dessert but we heard it was great.

“Delicious gyros”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

This place has an amazing menu! I got the gyro platter and my husband got the Philly cheesesteak on a sub. They were both great! Our server, "Shelly" was awesome as well. She told us about their breakfast menu and even printed both menus for us to take with us.
The only problem I had was the indoor seating was just so hot! There was a window a/c unit but it didn't keep the place comfortable.
Going back to try them for breakfast this weekend. We were informed that the owner makes lots of the items himself instead of buying "ready made"

“Fun and Great Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

What a great transplant behind the bar. She knew how to get things done, done right, and chit chat a bit, too. Food was very good. Not scenic, but a great lunch spot before heading over the bridge to the lower Keys. The fruit bowls down there were expensive and bland. This one was not. Will eat there each year!

“Holy cow-polie go to Burdines”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

Changed tables three times hoping to be served. Had to track down the server 30 minutes after the last seat yourself attempt. Then took another 30 for her to come back around. Three plus hours total for a basic meal. She bussed empty tables between getting the bill, running the card, and bringing the card back ...when NO ONE WAS WAITING FOR TABLES!!!! She cried when bringing the bill. If you can't cut waiting tables in the keys then leave!...not much else for you to do!

“Disappointing...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

Disappointing dining experience with my children. Started with confusion of two entries on TripAdvisor. One for Mile 7 grill and the other for 7 Mile Grill, apparently they are actually one and the same, but they have two different ratings.

Broad selection on the menu. Started with the waitress bringing me soup when I had asked for salad. Lemonade was almost tasteless. Salad was yellow iceberg with onions, cucumbers, green peppers, and tomatoes. I asked for honey mustard dressing which was watery as well.

I ordered the shrimp scampi over linguine(instead of rice). Shrimp was just "ok", some scampi seasoning sprinkled on the shrimp, but no sauce at all. One daughter ordered a steak quesadilla that was greasy, my other daughter ordered a veggie wrap that while large, disintegrated when she tried to eat it.

We passed on the desserts to the chagrin of the waitress. For the cost of the dinner, I expected better quality food. Perhaps we just hit a bad night or poor choices in food.
