Great size and accomodations for 3 adults and a 5 year old, nice to have a kitchen and close walking to the beach. The value was really good for what you got, but do realize that the units are definately a little "beach rustic" they are clean, but windows that don't close all the way... very cracked ceilings, stained carpeting etc., but clean and for the size of the place, was a good deal. Like someone else said, I think that most things in the Keys have the same vibe... most looked about the same, atleast from the outside...

Great location, beach and pool were very nice. Rooms are old and need updating but clean. But this is the way it is in much of the keys. Enjoyed the keys environment greatly, very laid back. Great restaurants, fishing, coconut trees, wildlife, snorkeling, many things to do. Great value in the rates at Cocoplum, can't beat the price.

We stayed at the Cocoplum (#10) for a wedding we were attending down in the Keys. After searching through the internet we found the Cocoplum and booked our stay. We were very happy with the unique to us rooms and the fact that there was a small beachfront to enjoy while we weren't at the wedding. The value was great, it is a unique place that features privacy if you want it or wide open expanses of screened in porches if you enjoy being outside. The inside was adequate with all the comforts of a lived in home. After talking with some of the other wedding guests we came to appreciate how much better the Cocoplum was in comparison to where they stayed. My wife and I both agreed that we would stay there again on our next trip to the Keys.

We stayed in a beach front pod (number 4 ) at the end of april. The pod was clean but extremely outdated. They looked like they were renovating though, because the master bath looked new and was nice! We loved the big screened in porch and having lots of room. Our trip was great at first. We went to the turtle hopsital, dolphin research center, key west and had fun doing everything. We took our 2 year old daughter with us. She had a blast. On the last day I noticed her sitting by the window looking out and i just thought "oh that great she is enjoying the view". Well she starting pointing so i went over to see what she was looing at. There was a naked guy and woman right outside our windows prancing around. It was disgusting, and a 2 year old shouldnt have to see that. I was pissed off I had NO idea the resort allowed nude people. These people were not even in the water they were just standing around facing our house looking at it. So, when my husband got back in i told him about the guy and he was like wtf?!?!? He went down and told them we have a 2 year old and they need to put their clothes on and he went to the office . I looked out the window and after my husband left them they still stood there naked after knowing a 2 year old was looking at them. He came back saying the office said clothing is optional on beaches in the keys, and if we are offended they would tell the people to put their clothes on. (well the websites i looked at said clothing is mandatory on public beaches). My husband told the office he already told them to put them on. My main point is that is was too late by that time. She shouldnt have seen that. This place should write on its website that naked people might be walking around. If they did i wouldnt have gotten ocean front, and actually wouldnt have gone to that resort. There were a ton of kids at the resort all week. I ran into the naked lady later and she had her clothes on. She was very rude to me and said the guy in the office told them clothing is optional in the keys and that NO KIDS were on the property. Here we were with a 2 year old ...with beachfront view! It ruined the whole trip though because i really liked the place a lot and def would have went back had that not happened. I;m sure if any of those other families with kids would have seen that they would have been po'd as well. Well thats my review. Next time Im calling a place and asking if clothing is optional there because i learned my lesson . The only reason im not recommending this to friends is that they may run into naked people while there with their kids. I hope one day the resort bans nudity from their beach. If they did i would go back and recommend this place to friends.
