We were driving through the keys and decided to stop here and check out the museum and trails. The volunteers were very nice and knowledgeable, and you can learn a lot about the keys at the museum. Outside the museum is a children's area (though we had fun here too), where you can touch-and-feel a bunch of different sea organisms in the tank. There was also a bee hive you could see the inside of, which was kind of neat. We hiked the 1.6 mile trail, and it was fun, but it's not worth it if you are short on time. The view at the end was okay, but it wasn't really a "money shot". (beware Raw Sewage point, yuck...) The spiders along the trail were our favorite part - those things were huge! Watch where you walk, if your'e really tall you might accidentally walk into one of their webs. Overall, we had fun since we weren't in a real hurry to be anywhere.
