I stayed at the Days Inn, Islamorada, twice in 2008, in January and and June. In January, I stayed with a friend in one of the standard rooms. It was basic, clean and met our needs as we spent the entire time scuba diving at Key Dives, maybe half a mile away. The cost was very reasonable so we decided to stay again, in June, this time in the villa suite, since we there were four of us. The villa was very large, with a king size bed and pull out couch. The were two floors, with the bedroom with the bed overlooking a living area with the pull out couch, cable TV, a small dining area and a full kitchen, with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, sink, dishes and utensils. We really enjoyed the villa, as we were able to save money by cooking our meals and pack our lunches for our full day scuba excursions. Overall, we were happy with our stay except that the AC was on the lower level so it was very warm on the upper level that overlooked the living area. There was a ceiling fan on the upper level but it was still too warm and we had to request a floor fan which the hotel provided with no hesitation. Other then that, this is an excellent hotel for active travelers who aren't planning to spend time indoors. It is convenient to Bud & Mary's Marina, Key Dives, local restaurants and a 24-hour grocery store right down the street. I will return the next time I dive in Islamorada!
