When we drove up to the motel, we were happy to find it wasn't one of the newer hotels/motels that seem to be taking over the keys. It has survived many hurricanes and tropical storms which kept them remodelling and restoring this quaint home away from home. Its quiet charm, huge arrays of flowers , the hand painting from a local artist, and the visit from the manatee's while we sat outside having our morning cup of coffee, made our time there so very pleasant. Bobbie, who not only helps run this motel was also the person who cleaned the room. She was very informative as to the history of the keys, places to visit, and simply one of the kindest people I met while on our 2 week vacation. We had plenty of coffee in our room, twice as many towels than we needed, and extra pillows if we needed them. The room was spotless! Many thanks to all the employees there that made our vacation wonderful!
