Our family of 4 stayed for 4 nights over Spring break. We had a spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment with kitchen but no view. There are rooms with a view, though several of the buildings were not built with the view in mind. Grounds are pretty with well established coconut palms and flowering bouganvilla. There is an attractive marina where we kept our rental boat. Of course, the view at the marina and even some angles at the pool is knock your socks off. The striking aqua colored ocean, coconut palms, etc., are really beautiful. People fish right off the dock and are successful! There are lounge chairs around the marina deck. There is a small beach-like area w/ white sand at the base of the marina, but don't expect to swim there. Swimming beaches are hard to come by in the Keys. The pool is fairly large with a fun enclosed slide that would appeal to little kids on up to our 13 and 17 year olds. It looks small but our boys enjoyed it - their weight afforded them some speed. Cantina at the pool is good for a salad, burger, sandwich, and of course frozen drinks. The accomodations were spacious and clean, nothing to write home about the decor, but I had to keep reminding myself that we were on a fishing trip! The plumbing was a bit tricky - very low water pressure. Office staff pleasant and helpful. If you want to splurge on a romantic dinner, try Morada Bay Club, and you can even take the kids. They can play in the sand or throw the football while you enjoy a cocktail, the guitar player, the bay view, the tiki torches - it is a magical place. Tower of Pizza has excellent thin crust NY style pizza. If you plan to eat in, hit the Publix in Key Largo on your way in and stock up - traffic can be bad and you won't want to head back that way for groceries. La Siesta is great for a casual fishing trip.
