We found happiness at sunset on the Happy Cat! The crew was great, the boat was not crowded, the snorkeling was terrific! We went out to a very large donut shaped reef saw turtles, angel fish, blow fish and so many others. The water was deep enough but not too deep. I didn't have to worry about harming the sealife with my fins but it was not so deep as to be a problem to view. Just right. Unlike our morning trip with the very crowded Reef roamer - packed with 46 people and not as much variety to be seen in the shallower water we stopped to snorkel. They also charged extra for snorkeling gear on the RR.
I definately recommend Happy Cat. Capt. Lori stopped to point out dolphins near our boat and was helpful with all questions. Her first mate Ken was the ultimate host with the gear, as well as the sunset champagne after the snorkeling and taking a few pictures. The boat even has cushions for the benches and indoor space to sit. The champagne was free. Beer is available for a small fee as well as chips & sodas.
While waiting to take off we had fruit smoothies, very tasty and paid the small fee to feed the Tarpon. If you are going to the Keys stop for the Happy Cat snorkeling at Robbies, you'll be glad you did. Our stop at the Keys was June 08.
