“ROBBIES GREAT AS EVER”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Robbies Dock is a must in the area of Islamorada. Either for the shacks selling all sorts of stuff or to feed the Tarpon some up to 7 feet long. I use robbies with friends for hiring out day boats at some of thye most reasonable prices in the Keys. we usually have a boat all day for three days to go fishing. Fee only for viewing or feeding Tarpon.

“Most affordable experience in the Keys!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

We have been going to Robbie's for years - back when the fish cost a dollar per bucket and that was it. This is the first time we have been able to bring our daughter and it was just as much fun as we remembered. Now, you'll pay a dollar per person just to SEE the tarpon and three dollars per bucket for the fish to throw to the tarpon. Still not that bad. The tarpon are Goliath!! If you're brave enough to hold your arm over the water and dangle a fish...those tarpon will jump right outta the water and take it right out of your hands!! But.....pay attention!! Because if you're distracted even for a second, those crazy pelicans will swipe that fish from you before you even know what happened! The other cool draw to this place is that it's taken on this Woodstock-esque feel.....all kinds of craft booths with great artwork and crazy-affordable souvenirs!! The same magnet beer opener with the "Southern Most Point" logo on it was $4 here.....saw the same exact thing at Mallory Square in Key West AND Shell World in Key Largo for $10! That's a hefty savings! It was fun to let my daughter go crazy on the 2 for $5 table - she got some cute things for her BFF.

Overall - a must-do on your vacation bucket list! Lots of entertainment, laughs and excitement!

“Do not miss this easy to miss spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

At about mile marker 77.5, you will find Robbie's. If you are driving down to Key West, this place is just shy of the halfway point, but is worth a pit stop. It's worth it just to stop in this area and go no further!

Robbie's is the bar and restaurant here, right on the beautiful Keys water. There are little stands that sell sunglasses, hats, and other Keys trinkets. The bar was quaint, reasonably priced, and had dollars hanging all over it. People fed the tarpon off the dock and rented jet skis. There is a kayak shack to rent kayaks from if you want to paddle to the mangroves or to Indian Key. The only thing is the bathrooms are a little scary.

Will be back. Do not miss this place, it is very easy to, but is definitely worth a trip. This beach dive is what the Keys are all about.

“Feed the fish at Robbie's”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

We'd heard of it many times over the years and I'd passed it on my previous time, but this time Robbie's was tops on the list of must-dos. It was worth it... to a point. This is a popular attraction so be prepared for the many people wandering around, lingering, watching, eating, and of course, feeding the tarpon from the docks, the main reason everyone stops here.

But at once the reason they come is the reason that it felt more than a little crowded for us. With and without our dog in tow (dogs are welcome on leash) it was very crowded and we were getting bumped into, trying to keep Jake the dog from other people's way, but even if just us, we felt too crowded. Trying to get a photo of the experience meant constantly stopping to let someone pass of having to reposition to get the shot.

It was fun and interesting to see and do and we'd recommend it, but with the crowds it just wasn't what we'd hoped. Good for them, a little frustrating for us. We would certainly try it again, with or without our dog, but we'd know that with so many people it can get a little crazy. There is a restaurant on site, a place that looks great to watch the action from waterside. There is a shopping faire like area as you approach with plenty to choose from.

And there is the feeding. You'll buy a bucket of fish, head onto the pier, and reach out over with your fish. The pier is average pier size, so you're in an area with people on each side, between boats, and those walking past, reaching out over the water as the tarpon jump or swarm. It is fun and interesting, but again, you'll feel a little hemmed in at times. But it is fun. And when they grab or jump or swarm, you'll giggle and laugh.

“Great day at Robbies!!”

Great day at Robbies with family and friends. The adults and children had an awesome time feeding the Tarpon!
