I stayed one night because I went diving in Key Largo. Steve (the owner) was great. He was very helpful and friendly. Upon checking in, I received a room upgrade which was tremendous. I originally reserved the least expensive room there, and was upgraded free to a beautiful room with a king bed and kitchenette overlooking the ocean. I was also offered a beer while I got myself settled in and was welcomed warmly to the Keys. The room was very inviting, nicely decorated, and was very comfortable. Steve recommended some places nearby for food and drinks which were also good picks. I was able to check emails through a computer in the lobby/office offered to guests. There was a large area that was the beach for for the property. The hotel had tables, chairs, tiki huts, hammocks, and anything else you would find for a comfortable day outside. There is no "beach property" the way you might think it to be in other parts of Florida. The sand is thin and mixed with fine rock/gravel which is about as good as you will see in the Keys.
The only area I saw that had room for improvement was the bathroom. The shower itself had below average water amounts coming from the sprayer. It was more of a light mist than anything which was a little bit of a pain. Though it certainly was easy to overlook based on the rest of the info I provided. Yes, this is a great place to go if you are looking for a clean, well kept up place, with a friendly attitude. It is also very safe for female travelers.
