Having never visited Islamorada before, I was quite skeptical about accomodations there. I know the place is beautiful but looking through internet sites, I was a little turned off on lodging and prices. Making my plan during the busy season in March wasn't easy either. I had called the Breezy Palms after finding the internet site and they informed me that they had one motel room left. It seemed to have everything we needed so I booked it. Upon arrival, the lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and very nice. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. As we drove into this pink little paradise we noticed a beautiful manmade beach with high reaching palm trees, a great marina to keep your boat with a ramp and a clear sandy access through the mainly sea grass water. Perfect for walking as far out as you please without stepping on anything. When we entered our motel room we found it extremely clean, bright and cheery with great tropical furnishings. Kudos to the cleaning staff. Breezy Palms has a pool, but we didn't make it there to often b/c we preferred to lay out under the palms on the beach. But there were many people at the pool throughout the day. There were also many barbeque grills in the complex and locations to sit outside and eat. It is a very well thought out layout. Our stay was wonderful thanks to this beautiful place. Next year we will be coming back and maybe we'll book one of the kitchenettes or oceanfront rooms. Go to the Breezy Palms if you're staying in Islamorada, you won't regret it.
