We switched from the Marriott Key Largo to the Cheeca Lodge after four days at the Marriott and it was the best decision we made. We paid $249 a night for a resort view room, but even the resort view rooms have lovely views as the interior of the resort has beautiful landscaping and water features throughout. Ask for a room that has been remodeled. They have great beds, incredible bathrooms and flat screen t.v.'s The patio furniture is cushioned and the patio has a light and a ceiling fan. There is an adult pool and a family pool and both are excellent. This resort is on the ocean, but the beach isn't really user friendly. The views are beautiful though. The bar and service are just great and the prices for food and drinks are reasonable. There is a nine hole gold course on the resort and the golf and other water activities are included in the daily resort fee. The spa peaceful and comfortable. I had two treatments there and both were excellent. The prices as the spa are no more than you would pay at a high end spa in any city. There is a kids club, which we checked out for our next visit with kids in tow. It was very nice for only $40 a day and that includes activities and lunch. Even though there were a lot of families here, you can still connect with your honey if you don't have your family with you. I would highly, highly recommend this resort to anyone traveling to the keys.
