My husband & I stayed here 2 nights in November when the weather was too windy for many water sports. Even though not much was going on due to the off season and windy weather, we had a wonderful time. We reserved a Classic King room with no view - Room #321. When we saw the room, our view was the parking lot. It was okay, the room itself was beautiful. We asked if there were any rooms left with a view (the property was virtually sold out due to a wedding that day) and they gave us a lovely room with a harbor view at no extra charge - Room #534. Pictures of the rooms on the hotel website are accurate. They are that nice after the renovation. The staff aims to make their guests happy which we really appreciated. Not far from our rooms, we had propane powered fire pits with nice chairs around it that we enjoyed right near the ocean. The Shula Burger place on site was good for some quick quality food. The bar near our room had a pool table, flat screen TVs, music - live or satellite radio, and very tasty frozen drinks. They had a lot of water sports to try on the property. We wanted to take advantage of water sports in any way we could regardless of the weather so I asked about what we could do in the windy weather. The guys in the dive shop suggested paddleboarding and jet skiing. Jen at the rental area was very helpful and said she could allow me to paddleboard within the boundaries of the ropes and if I didn't like it, she wouldn't charge me. I told her I would like to try it & work off my breakfast. She showed me how to exercise on my board when I was paddling with the wind and I did. I rented it for the full hour because it was fun and didn't require much skill. Very little balance needed. Later, while I was sitting at the umbrella tables right on the beach resting from my paddleboard fun, Kenny approached us with a jet ski offer. We decided to take the tour which was leaving in a half hour and we had a blast. Jim "Rosco" our tour guide was great! He had a dry but funny sense of humor and presented very interesting facts about the environment, shellfish, and pirates during our 3 stops along the way of our 10 mile radius, 1.5 hr tour. He was also very observant, keeping track of everyone, pointing out wild life, and providing hand signals to us as first-timers. This was the highlight of our adventures! Our tour included one other experienced couple and Rosco accommodated us all. He let the experienced riders "fly" while keeping track of us and coaching us along the way. It was well worth the money! Housekeeping was also great providing us with everything we needed and the little extras we requested. All done with a smile.
Room Tip: Definitely ask for a room with a view. When a majority of the rooms come with a balcony, you want t...

Dear Wenjac772, Thanks guys for staying with us and for posting the review on TripAdvisor. We appreciate the comments for our resort and glad you had a chance to go paddleboarding and jet skiing. I'm also pleased to learn you were able to enjoy a room in the Harbor building. It's fun watching the marina activities from your room balcony. We're adding new activities all the time so be sure to come back soon. Wish You Were Here, Jason
