“The Turtle is Always Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

We had dinner last night here with a party of 8 people. Saturday night is prime rib night which was the reason for our visit. 6 of us ordered the prime rib! Good wine list with nice menu. The food is always good and service is friendly and efficient. Love the Turtle!

“Great Keys Resturant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

Had lunch here today it was great. Very clean resturant with a bright feel. My daughters meal off the kids menu was one of the nicer kids meals I have seen. I had "The Shroom" a mushroom and mozzarella based sandwich. It was awesome!!!!!! You should try this place, it's a great resturant.

Mugzie, thank you for the great review! We love hearing from our customers, expecially hearing how great their experience was. The Shroom is a personal favorite of mine! I'm so glad to hear your daughter enjoyed her kids meal. As a mother to two girls, I can appreciate the value of keeping our children happy while we enjoy our meal! You should try our breakfast and dinner menus. Same quality food, service and atmosphere. We hope to see and your family again soon!

“Sweeter in Memory”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

On our first visit 31 years ago the Conch chowder and fresh fish seemed heavenly. On our recent visit the prices were up the food only average and the room felt crowded and noisy.

Peter, thank you for taking the time to write a review for the Green Turtle. It's always great to hear from customers from the "old" Turtle. We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your experience with us.

The Green Turtle has been a huge part of my life and I remember that "old" restaurant well. My grandmother worked their for over 35 years. Perhaps you remember her, people called her Mama, her name is Shirley. She was a staple along with Tina Turtle and her famous, Turtle Waves. I can remeber the conch chowder and how delicious it was. I can appreciate what you've say about the Turtle not being the same. I don't think anything will ever quite live up to the feeling that old restaurant gave many people from all across the world.

Unfortunately a Hurricane destroyed the last building and forever changed the face of the Turtle. Although our look has changed, our core values remain the same as when it was Sid & Roxie running the show. We want our customers to feel at home and to have a dining experience, not just a meal. We've brought some of that "old Turtle" feeling to our modern restaurant by keeping the walls covered in photographs and memoribilla from days of Turtle past. We've also kept some staple menu items such as the Oyster Rockefellar, Turtle Chowder and Fish Ala "Roxie".

If your ever back in town, please try us again. May I suggest coming in on a day or evening that is not as busy as your previous visit. The weekends and holidays can be very busy and the restaurant can get noisy. Chef Matt is always working on creative fresh seafood for the menu and nightly specials that are sure to please. Thank you again, your opinion is of great value to all of us here at the Turtle.

“Yummy breakfast, great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

Had the crepes that were on the specials board. So delicious, with a fruit infused cream cheese filling and a strawberry ginger compote! Found it curious that they still pair crepes with the usual "eggs" side dishes, potatoes and bread, but I got over it because the biscuit and hash browns were yummy too. My husband loved his omelet. The service was very friendly and fast, without being rushed. It IS a bit noisy, but it's a busy place. I really love the old sign too.
