We just returned from our trip to Ocean Dawn Suites... i must say that we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. When we got to the "resort" we were greeted by Natalie, a new hire, who was surprised that we arrived a little early. Regardless, she let Mona (the acting Manager) know that we had arrived and we were welcomed with open arms. Mona walked us to our suite, came in with us and was pleasant company. When she walked out of the room, my husband said "I think she is the nicest person I have ever met!!" Our room was spotless and looked exactly as it was depicted on the website. We were surprised that it wasn't on the ground floor but certainly was not a problem. Our suite did not have a kitchenette in it, so if you rent one that is the same, be prepared to bring forks, knives and paper plates if you plan on eating in. There was a large fridge and microwave that came in handy!!
We had a few beers and glasses of wine out on the water under the amazing tiki hut! Boy, was that relaxing. A swing, hammock, lounge chairs and two tables with chairs were also under there. We could walk right out into the beautiful water. I even found a few hermit crabs!! We enjoyed sitting out there watching the birds, chating and enjoying the scenery of fish popping from wave to wave.
The bathroom was clean and modern and had excellent water pressure. (This is always a concern for me because I can never get shampoo out of my hair when we are in Florida.)
The beds were awesomely comfortable! We stayed at a Marriott in DC the night before and the beds there paled in comparison to Ocean Dawn's!!!
We were only a few blocks away from nightlife, Holiday Isle Marina and groceries. Perfect location! Just be prepared to look for the post office or the CVS or you will miss your turn!!
Overall, we had a magical stay and we will be certain to patron Ocean Dawn Suites every time we hit the Keys. **Especially if Mona doesn't head back to Colorado!! She really made our stay extra special. Top class service!!!
