Simply put, this was the best fish sandwich I've ever had. I've driven by Craig's for years, but didn't actually stop-in until a recent trip.

The fish sandwich is terrific, and was prepared in a way I've not seen before. It was moist and flavorful. In seven days in the Keys, I probably had at least four of them.

The fish sandwich is what's made Craig's famous, but by no means is it his only specialty. They offer a wide-array of other surprisingly top-notch dishes, like their escargot (again, delicious), perfectly prepared steaks (not what you'd expect in the Keys), and fresh, flavorful soups.

Don't make the same mistake I did for years by continuing to drive by. Do yourself a favor and pay Craig's a visit.

My family stayed in they Keys for a week recently, and almost every night, someone was heard to say, "why not go back to Craig's tonight?"

You would never guess that this place is manned by a Culinary Institute of America-trained chef. You would never guess that he has the best conch fritters with garlic and butter sauce in the entire Keys. You would never guess that he serves dolphin surrounded by more scallops and shrimp than you've seen in your life. You would never guess because, really, this is the best kept secret in the Keys.

Why such a secret? Because from the outside, with all its blue and yellow paint, it looks like a tourist trap. It could use a new look and a better paint job, but the food, my God, is simply the best in the Keys.

Craig's billboards boast , "The Best Fish Sandwich In the Florida Keys," and they are right. After driving by this place for years we finally decided to stop in and try it. The fish sandwich is the best. Not at all your standard deep fried filet on a bun. Some members of our party tried the other menu items and they were all fabulous. The escargot, conch fritters, French onion soup and various ways of doing up fresh fish were amazing for such an unassuming place. The prices are very reasonable. We ate there 3 more nights before we left. You won"t be disappointed. Craig oversees the dining room and makes sure everything is done right.
