We stumbled across this place after an extended holiday in Key West when we were really 'full up to here' with fancy restaurants! Situated on Duval with (I think plastic from memory) outside tables and chairs it just had a great atmosphere and feel to it. We went pretty early - about 7.45p.m. and had a nicely positioned table on the patio next to a huge fan - without having made a reservation. It soon filled up however.
With the menu and first drink order you are brought a basket of tacos with a fresh tomato salsa dip F.O.C. so don't even think about ordering a starter! For main course I had Cilantro chicken (huge!) with chilli mash and hubbie had steak and shrimp fajitas. We couldn't believe that they had one of our favourite wines from Sicily and we managed to get through 2 bottles during the evening! We found the waitress really helpful - we don't get many Mexican inspired restaurants in the U.K. - and she was very patient with our "what is this" questions! We also didn't feel rushed or as though we were in a fast food place at all.
Actually one of our best evenings eating out during our time there - casual and on the main drag so I suppose touristy - but defn. worth the $80 price tag inc. 18% tip and 2 bottles of $20 wine from our point of view - it is obviously possible to have a less expensive meal there but this worked for us.
