“Great hotel, perfect location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

I've read all of the reviews of this hotel that are 3 stars and lower and these people must be those kinds of people that can never be pleased.

From even before I arrived in Key West the staff at Azul was amazingly helpful. They will go out of their way to help you in any way that they can. The staff truly cares for the people that are staying at this hotel.

As far as the spiral staircase goes you might want to think about using the stairway in the inside of the building. (I didn't find it until later on day 2 but that was my fault.)

The rooms are small but VERY comfortable and priced very similarly to all of the hotels around Key West. I did a lot of research before I chose Azul and found that this hotel met all of my needs. Having never been to Key West I was delighted to find out that it was very close to Duval Street where all of the partying is but far enough away that you will get a very restful night's sleep. The breakfast was great and just what is needed after a night out in Key West. If you want reconstituted powdered eggs and Belgian waffles that taste like cardboard go somewhere else. If you don't like the parking at Azul then you can stay somewhere else and pay anywhere from $40 to $60 a day to park. Being this close to the action but far enough away to be able to relax when you want is the best that anyone can want in Key West and Azul Hotel is just the hotel to offer you that.

this place is just as the title says. The location is ideal for all the attractions duval street, boardwalk etc yet far enough away that is peaceful. We had a hire car parked it on arrival and didn't touch it for 3 days only then to go to fort Zachary which if you like the beach and snorkelling is great. The staff at Azul are just so helpful friendly and welcoming they made our stay perfect. Its hard to praise them enough.

Lovely room, good location, excellent complimentary breakfast, superbly helpful and friendly staff. Small but nice pool to fall into after long walks or bike rides. Close enough to the action of Duval and the Boardwalk to walk to but far enough away to avoid crowds and noise.

Room Tip: there is only one third floor room but it is accessible only by spiral staircase that might be a cha...

Michael was welcoming and helpful from as soon as we arrived. Convenient parking at front of property and no charge unlike some other nearby accommodation.

Close enough to duval street to easily walk but further enough away to avoid the noise.

Simple but fresh and tasty continental breakfasts.

Great stay

Simply loved this hotel! The staff is really friendly and extremely helpful! Gale and Michael provided us with plenty of interesting info about places to see and tours to take - thank you guys! The hotel is so well managed, it's amazing! Clean, bright, located walking distance to everything. Breakfast was continental, but very good. Very happy with our stay, would recommend 100%.

This was a very comfortable stay. The room was a little on the small side, but we didn't spend alot of time in our room anyway. The place is very clean, with a very polite staff. Michael was very pleasent to talk to and did his best to answer any questions. A small continental breakfast got your day off on the right foot.

The place has good AC and WiFi in rooms with satalite TV.

We were referred by the Tourist Info folks and got a superb rate. Arrived sight-unseen but any apprehension was immediately dispelled by Michael. The property is immaculate and perfectly maintained. Décor and furnishings are First Class, excellent pool, Class A breakfast, on-site parking (a rarity), and Michael and Gail were wonderfully helpful hosts. The location is excellent, only a couple of easy blocks to Duval Street yet blissfully quiet and residential. We'd recommend unconditionally.

Room Tip: There are no poor accommodations here!
