I had been on a snorkeling trip with another charter (many years ago) and was SO excited to experience it with my boyfriend. The price was very reasonable, unfortunately the experience was barely ok. First of all, there were about 100 people on the boat which made it hard to get a good seat and to snorkel when people kept running into each other. There were several people who couldn't swim well enough to go out to the reef and I understand that safety is the first priority, but the captain was unnecessarily rude to them and abrasive with anyone who wasn't moving fast enough. The equipment was old and not in very good condition. I brought my own, but my boyfriend's mask leaked the whole time. The catamaran stopped at least a 10 minute swim (taking the waves into account) away from the reef, and although the captain said he couldn't take the boat any closer, I was much closer the last time I went snorkeling. The swim out was absolutely exhausting and the swim back was even worse. We were given a short lecture on the way out to the reef about our equipment, the reef, and important hand signals, but they failed to even mention the HUGE number of small jellyfish we saw. I was terrified that we'd get stung when I noticed them.

Obviously they weren't dangerous because neither one of us was stung despite many of them brushing past, but I think it would've been nice to know that before getting into the water. Also, the directions they gave everyone about where to swim were very vague and we had to deal with a lot of yelling and pointing from the crew on the boat. We still never ended up at a good part of the reef - we were on the outskirts the entire time. There was absolutely no organization in getting back on the boat, so we ended up treading water and bumping into people for more than 10 mins. It just could've been so much better.

My husband and I were really looking forward to this part of our trip to Florida and were thoroughly rewarded! We loved it. From our first step onto the boat each member of the crew made us feel over and abundantly welcome. We did the ultimate adventure and each part was exciting in it's own way. Well worth it!!

Nice trips. I took two: sunset cruise and glass bottom reef visit. Fury gets "excellent" because of the glass bottom boat; the sunset cruise is only probably average.

The glass bottom boat goes to the coral reef and you can see some great sites only excelled if you were to snorkel or scuba dive.

We took the three hour snorkel cruise to Sand Key and had a blast. We left on time, got to the reef on time, had a great time in the water and got back to the harbor on time. The crew are highly professional and a lot of fun. Unlike a lot of tour operators, these guys actually seem to enjoy the job. The snorkel gear they provide is well worn but works fine, and they provide excellent instruction on its use. And they keep the free beer flowing all the way back to Key West....no booze before the swim. Fury operates 2 identical catamarans called Atlantic and Pacific. I was on Atlantic, which was spotless, classy looking, and well ordered.

The reef itself offers good snorkeling. The water is shallow and warm, with lots of interesting fish, although the coral itself is in kind of bad shape, more dead than alive, and not very colorful.

I paid 45$ for the trip and thought it was the best deal I got on anything in Key West.

The day of our trip was windy and made for kind of choppy water. But it was GORGEOUS nonetheless. GREAT crew, hot male staff too - very friendly and help out with instructions and make you comfortable. You have to be 22 to use the jet skis unless you sign your life away and then pass a test - no biggie. Food was good. Plenty to eat. Free beer and wine on the sail back. Snorkeling was fun - though not too great but that was more about weather than the area. Jet skis were fun. Parasailing was the highlight of the day. The rock wall was a challenge with the wind but we did it. All in all, HIGHLY recommend it. I will go again. BTW, book through your hotel if you can. We could have gotten the sunset cruise for 10 bucks more if we had done that versus booking in advance for just the Ultimate Adventure.
