“LOVE the Mango Tree Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2010

We have stayed at this inn at least 6 or 7 times. The rooms are immaculate, the owners (Peggy and Johnny) couldn't be nicer and the location is perfect. Most of the rooms have a kitchenette, and there is a beautiful pool. This visit however, we stayed at a conch house down the street that is owned by the same owners. It was fantastic! Completely renovated 2 bedroom/2 bath with a great little pool in the very private yard. Easy walking to Michael's, SWB - anywhere we wanted to go. We only used our car once to get to Louie's.

Peggy had wine and flowers waiting for us, as well as flower petals scattered throughout the rooms.

I highly recommend these properties for anyone looking for "real" Key West and a relaxing, laid back experience.

Spent three days in Key West at the Mango Tree and was very pleased with the accomodations, people, and the prime location. Will return.

We stayed at the Mango Tree Inn from Feb 15 throught the 20th. We found the rooms very warm and homey, however the reception we got from Peggy and Johnny was rather cold. Parking was a definite problem although when we made the reservation they assured us that it would not be. Peggy failed to mention that the Inn is located very close to the fire department. it seems everytime we tried to relax or nap we heard sirens! I would not recommend the location for seniors. The steps going to the balcony room where we stayed for a couple of days before moving downstairs were treacherous! We got the impression that we were merely another paycheck for Peggy and Johnny. We canceled a reservation at a hotel to stay at the Inn, but probably should have kept it. For the cost it wasn't worth it.

This was our fourth stay at Mangotree Inn in 6 years. What a wonderful place for a relaxing getaway. The rooms are very clean and homey and always full of fresh flowers. Peggy, Johnny, Kristina & Kaley are very friendly and helpful and we enjoy catching up with them while we are there. The pool is sparkling and very inviting for those hot afternoons. The Inn is two blocks from Duval Street and conveniently located to other attractions as well. We will be returning next September to our home away from home.

We had a wonderful time AGAIN at the Mango Tree Inn. This year we stayed in the downstairs Simonton St., room and it was as great as the upstairs balcony room last year. Authentic Key West charm in a cool quiet neighborhood only 2 blocks from Duval and a short walk to the yacht basin. Thank you Sharon for providing a wonderful place to stay and pitch hitting for Peggy the owner who was on vacation from what we consider a vacation! The pool area is well kept and relaxing in between short walks to sights and restaurants. See you next year Kallie! (the resident dog)

This is the only place to stay in Key West! Peggy and Johnny make you feel like you are at home. I went there to get away from the corporate hustle and relax.... and they helped with that. I recommend letting Peggy schedule your excursions - thanks for the para sail experience. Can't wait to go back!

Our recent trip to Key West was our 3rd return since our first trip in Nov 2007. Each of these three returns have been to the Mango Tree Inn and we have stayed in the upstairs suite now all 3 times. The attractions that keep us returning include the beautiful pool area surrounded by lush hibiscus planters and orchids, the luxurious bed and large convenient accomodations (although this unit does have a rather narrow bathroom). Yes there are beautiful fresh flowers everywhere in your room! We appreciate not being tied to a breakfast here since I enjoy preparing it myself and we love eating out on the balcony for this unit which feels like it's in the middle of that magnificent poincianna tree just outside the door. The brilliant orange blossoms are in full bloom now.

Thanks Peggy and Johnny for making us feel at home and thank-you Christina for keeping our room so clean and inviting! See you next time Kalie!
