My wife and me came down to Key West for a few days on our five week stay in Florida.
This place we discovered after watching the sunset by just walking by.
It did look very nice, a cool and comfy setting. So we decided to come here for our anniversary dinner....and we couldn't have done a better choice. It was so good, we came back second time.
Like I said, the whole setting is very nice. You can sit inside (we didn't) or you have two choices to sit outside. One possibility is to sit right outside, so you can listen to some live Cuban music. Another place to sit is in a more separate kind-of garden area. For our anniversary we chosen the second.... it had a really romantic feeling, people have been quite quiet, just enjoying the atmosphere and food.
Service was really nice, both times. So let's talk about the food. The two times we came we had (check the pics too):
- Jumbo Shrimps, so good we had it two times (nice and big, fresh and juicy) 11$
- Yellowtail (Fish) with yellow rice and bean soup (fish was really big and fresh, rice nice....but the soup not that great) 20$
- Chicken breast with Garlic Sauce and white rice and bean soup (nice size and good....could have more sauce for the meat) 16$
- Dried Plaintains with Cuacamole (nice for a snack) 7$
- try this red wine: Sangre de Toro for only 24$ a bottle!
So we were really happy with this place. Second time service was even nicer.,.even great! A good place to have some good Cuban Food (but try Versailles too in Miami!). The second time here we were sitting a little closer to the music which was really nice. You really can have a good time here! We will come back if we are around again...
