My husband really wanted Cuban food, so we ate at this place. The food was fine - not the best ever, but good. We were a bit annoyed that the way they priced their drinks in the menu was confusing - we thought we were getting a $7 drink and it was $10. Our bill was a bit higher than I like, but it was a fair place with a nice atmosphere, so if you really want Cuban food, it's probably a good choice.
this was one of my first times eating Cuban food. Pepe's is still the best.
not everybody will like every dinner, so you have to experiment, and find a food you like. chances are that you'll find something you're crazy about.

Great food. Try the Plantain Nachos with a Mojito. Be careful one Mojito goes a long way.
My husband & I stopped here on a whim for lunch after visiting Mallory Square.
This place has a great atmosphere - very fun!! It has good views, and its location is prime - right by Mallory Square and a block or so from Duval Street. They have a large outdoor dining area & bar, as well as an indoor area & bar.
I was a little unnerved by the chickens roaming the porch (you see them all over key west!!!)
They have a large menu - moderately priced. The drink menu is fun too - I would suggest Pepe's Lemonade, not too sweet & pretty strong.
We started with the guacomole & plaintain chips. There was a huge serving of guac, which was very tasty and fresh.
We then had the cuban sandwhich. This was very good. Large portions - we shared the sandwhich, and it was more than enough for the two of us after the guac.
Service was fast and friendly. We would definitely return here!
