“Gorgeous, convenient, relaxing, exciting, all rolled into one!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2009

Stayed 3 nights in a 2 bedroom suite, which was gorgeous. The bathrooms were large, sparkling clean, and the 'heavenly' beds were so comfortable I had my best night's sleep of any hotel stay (or was I just so tired from all the partying?) This hotel is versatile because it could have been a quiet, relaxing vacation because they emphasize this mood, but for me it was 'party in Key West' and we made the best of our time. Our view was of the small marina which gave us beautiful sights of the Gulf of Mexico as it begins to meet the Atlantic. We woke to a cruise ship docked on Friday and also on Sunday, so those two days were busier than the others at the marina. The hotel is perfectly located at the end of Green Street and just one short block from Duval where all the action is. I'm sort of the independent type so I didn't have much interaction with the hotel staff, but the front desk, valets and security person I met were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast at their restaurant was just right (I'm picky about temperature and flavor!)... and I never saw the pool because I was too interested in checking out the town, which was a whole lotta fun. Hope this review helps, the Westin will be my only choice in future visits.

Stayed here for a much needed getaway and were extremely satisfied. We have stayed on the other end of the island several times and wanted to treat ourselves to something more upscale and closer to Mallory Square. It was everything we hoped for. Rooms are newly re-done, heavenly beds are so comfortable. The resort including the walkway around the outside is kept in pristine condition.

We got a great rate through one of Westin's promotions, so we splurged for an ocean view room. It overlooked the marina and the gulf. We sat on the balcony and watched all kinds of boats coming and going, including the cruise ships. The ships were gone by 3:00 most days. We were only a short walk from the sunset celebration and watched the sunset from the sunset deck every night.

The concierge desk was staffed all day with a very knowledgeable, friendly person - a different one each day we were there. They were great with recommendations for activities, restaurants, directions - anything anyone wanted to know about the island. We had lunch at Latitudes, the restaurant on Sunset Key, and it was a wonderful experience, dining on the beach near the water. The food and the service were excellent.

Now we are spoiled and won't want to stay anywhere else. I can only hope that when we are ready to go back to Key West, that they will have another great rate promotion!

We spent 4 nights here in June on vacation. The location is the best in Key West and the best place to watch the sunset. We loved waking up to see the cruise ships come in and the view on our Marina side was fabulous.

You can easily walk to Duval Street and all locations in Key West. Here's a tip. Ditch the car and rent a moped. It's the easiest way to get around.

The hotel staff is great and the rooms, recently remodeled are fantastic. Highly recommended.

We booked an Ocean View room, the Ocean View rooms at this resort are based on whether or not a cuise ship is in port. The room was really a view of a cruise ship with periodic views of the ocean.

Recently renovated rooms made this stay popular with my wife. We haven't stayed in a cleaner room anywhere. We had a nice ocean view with a balcony. The sunset festival was a favorite with the kids and is right outside the hotel door. Nice pool but getting to the beach is a pain. You have to take a ferry. If you like shopping, the strip is two blocks away and restaurants are plentyful. My wife would like to go back when the weather is cooler. The kids were bored though.

I travel to Key West every year in April/May and have always stayed at a local Inns. Stayed at an Inn for most of this trip. We'd spent some time on the Westin's upper deck lounge the last day before we were supposed to leave and the staff was awesome (we weren't even guests -yet!). Decided to stay an extra day so checked in at the Westin. Room was very clean and comfortable. Had a little shadded patio out on the pool. Wished we'd of booked our entire trip stay here - room rate $179 was the same as the cottage room. Will be booking next years trip at the Westin.
