“At the heart of the marina!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

Another local favorite, Schooner Wharf has classic charm. (It was actually the place I ever saw a dog in a bar, sitting on a bar stool. haha) It's great place to just sit and watch the world go by. Live entertainment is a plus. We like the smoked fish dip and the conch fritters are pretty good, too. The Jerk chicken is delicious!

“We went to see Michael McCloud on Tuesday Feb 26 and he was not there, as scheduled on the calendar.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

We did stay and eat lunch since we had walked a fair distance to the Schooner Wharf Bar. We would have stayed a lot longer and spent more money at the Schooner if Michael had been playing. It was our last day in Key West so it will be another year before we get a chance to see Michael play agian. The food and service was good but it was just not the same.

“We like sitting upstairs on the deck in the evening.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

Schooner Wharf Bar is fine. The food is pretty good and the drinks are pretty good and it's kind of a dive bar. So if that's what you like, then you'll like it here.

Some people don't know that there's an upper deck upstairs w/ full food menu and bar service. We like to go up there and have drinks and dinner in the evening when the sun is setting. It's not the best spot on the island for having drinks when the sun is setting, but it's certainly not bad.

The fish sandwiches and the burgers and other dinner entrees are all typical decent bar food. The only thing I don't love is that they serve you beer in the flimsy plastic cups. I'd rather have an ice cold mug, but if that's the worst thing about Schooner Wharf, then that's just fine.

It can get pretty crowded upstairs in the evening, so go a bit early and watch the sun set before you have to wait for an upstairs table.

“They need to clean the place up”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

As a local who's lived here for years, this is one place we just don't want to eat at. The bathroom smells bad and is right near the kitchen. Sure they want it to be like old Key West but basic hygiene is basic hygience. Michael McCloud is getting tired too.
