“Great Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2007

Loved the conch fritters here. And the oysters were so fresh and tasty. Great prices too. And our server was fabulous and snuck us in the happy hour although it was a few minutes past. Good music, too.

“LOVE this place, almost the last of it's kind!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2007

This is the way Florida was 20+ years ago before everything started getting "upscale" and "trendy". I treasure this place!! Cold beer, good music, great food...what more do you need? Yes it looks worn out, yes the barstools wabble, but that is what is so good about it!! There is no better way to spend a lazy afternoon then on the water, people watching, drinking a cold beer, having a snack. This is the way Key West should be and we are loosing more and more of it every year. Enjoy Schooner Wharf for what it is...it truly IS the last little piece of old Key West. Check out the webcam!!

“slow terrible service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2007

Food was OK, but both times we stopped here to eat it took an average of 25 minutes just to get waited on, or recognized. The place has character... but that's no always a good thing. It's a dump pretty much. Food was decent.

“Our favorite place in Key West”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2007

Any of these other reviewers that are expecting anything other than a great place to drink (and eat) and get some great music, are going for the wrong reason. It's a fun place to be and just hang out. My girlfriend and I went to the Key West for the second year in a row and knew we'd be hitting the Schooner Wharf a couple times. We ended up there almost every night because it is the most fun place in KW. Their food is above-par, in fact we've never had a bad meal there. Fresh Grouper and MahiMahi are always available. Despite always being crowded, service is attentive and often entertaining. We saw some great bands during the week, including Buffalo Strange, maybe one of the best bar bands we've ever seen. Get a bucket of Kalik's and relax. Grab a cigar from Eric who has a stand by the bar. Chilllll! It's Key West!

“Exactly what we expect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2007

You can't go wrong, as long as you know what to expect. This and Green Parrot are our favorite bars, and Schooner Wharf is also a favorite among locals. We've met up there with many locals who frequent the TA forums. They bring in some of the best music in town, too. A week ago we caught a fabulous threesome there, the Danny Morris Band. Remember "Endless Summer", "WipeOut"? Great dancing. We usually sit at the bar, and while the folks back there are busy, I've always been impressed with the way they've taken care of us, and we in turn tip very generously. Yeah, it was a "bar food" burger, but our bartender went back to the kitchen three times to see what the holdup with it was. And the second Corona we had while waiting was even better than the first!
