I will be the first to admit, the Hogs Breath is not a food destination. They have their good and bad days with nearly every dish. This place is first and foremost a drink bar.

I've been to Key West about 14 times. I always go to the Hog and sit at the Raw Bar every afternoon I'm there. You will meet some great people, hear some great bands and have some of the greatest conversations you will ever have in your life there.

Everytime I'm down I add another couple friends who I keep in touch with. The prices aren't horrible either as Key West goes.

So block off an afternoon and come down to the Raw Bar. I guarantee if your open to talking, you'll meet some new friends.

I had dinner here a few months ago when I was down in Key West for a wedding. The food was okay, but my friend got sick after eating her burger..

The key lime shooter was delicious though, it tasted like candy. very dangerous! :)

We ate their twice on our recent trip. The first experience was much better than the first.

The first time I ordered corn-on-the-cob, it was tasty and fresh. Three days later, I think my corn was three days old. The kernels on the cob were shriveled.

My husband and I have always loved their steak sandwiches. This time, the steak was a little grisley and hard to chew. My grilled chicken was delicious.

The service was rather mediocre. We sat there with empty glasses when our food was served. The server obviously was only responsible for delivering the food. Our waitress was busy with other customers. We watched another employee escort a family to a table near us. He tossed the menus in the center of the table and said, "There you go!" then walked away. So did the family.

Then we watched another employee diligently put candles on every table. We were still sitting there with empty glasses when she put a candle on our table. It was apparent that every employee had their own individual responsibilities. Finally, our waitress came back.

We generally enjoy the atmosphere and the food. This time it was just so-so.

Great music but unfriendly staff and weak pour on drinks. We felt that this place was really overrated. Grab a drink elsewhere and listen to their music from the street!
