Lobo's Mixed Grill is just a wee bit off the beaten path, and worth every step. We used tripadvisor to look for good restaurants in Key West, as we were totally clueless, and then used our phone's navigation to get there.

We've been spending a lot more money than we'd like on this Florida journey, so finding a great, inexpensive restaurant was awesome. The menu was really vast and varied. We ordered wings (typical sauce, but yummy), nachos (the chips were particularly wonderful and it was real cheese), a Thanksgiving wrap (which was totally huge - my 11 year old ate less than half; we brought the other half back) and a ginormous burger. Everything was delicious and Steve, the owner, was incredibly friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was nice; we ate at a picnic table painted with a gorgeous underwater scene and there were cute/funny signs all over. The restaurant was situated in a peaceful courtyard away from the crowds which gave us a nice break after Mallory Square at sunset.

Without any hesitation I would recommend Lobo's Mixed Grill. The price is right, the food tastes great, the location's nice, the atmosphere is warm and relaxing and the service is stellar.
