Absolutely scrumptious... loved the homemade key lime limeade, and the conch fritters were the best I have ever tasted!

The fried grouper sandwiches with key lime sauce were excellent and the limeade refreshing. But the best part of the restaurant was the cozy junkyard ambiance--the roof sheilds patrons from the sun and the "walls" allow a gentle breeze. The service was very friendly.

The only disappointment of this restaruant was that the menu was missing the Conch Ceviche and the Steamed Beer Shrimps that reviewers raved about on this site. We had an excelllent Grouper Sandwich, both fried and grilled, for lunch, two days in a row.

Our unbelievably rude experience at BO’s began when my wife and I decided to get a quick lunch before our snorkeling trip departure. We ordered our lunch and sat down. After about 10-15 minutes a young lady delivered our lunch and returned to the kitchen. Soon after, I discovered that my order was incorrect – I had ordered an oyster dish and was brought shrimp. Being in a hurry (it was now 20 minutes from our boat’s departure time) and not wanting to make a big deal out of her mistake I decided to just go ahead and eat what they brought. A few minutes later the waitress returned to our table and questioned me rudely as to why I was eating the shrimp she had brought me when it was not what I had ordered. I explained that I didn’t want to make a big deal out of her mistake and that we were in a hurry to catch a boat. Then, to our absolute amazement, she demanded that I pay for BOTH dishes (the one I actually ordered and the shrimp I was eating). Of course, I wasn’t going to pay for lunch twice because of their screw-up, so I told her that I would not do so and continued to eat the shrimp. A few minutes later, the other lady working (who must have been the manager) approached our table and again rudely and loudly demanded that I pay for both entrees. I again refused and she stomped off. By now, the situation had created an embarrassing and uncomfortable situation for us and the other guests seated near us. We quickly ate a few more bites of our lunch and left. And to top things off, while were exiting the restaurant (once again to our absolute amazement) BOTH women again began to heckle us and demand $10 for the extra entrée they had brought. Needless to say, we won’t be eating at BO’s again! This infamous memory of our Key West vacation is one we are not soon to forget!!
