While not the best ever, it was a nice, casual change of pace from conch and beer.

We have eaten here numerous times while visiting Key West. The food is very fresh and homemade. The prices are a bit high, but kind of worth it because of the quality of the ingredients used. For the bad part, service is awful. Even with a very empty restaurant, the greeter tries to seat you in very small areas (in our case, outside with a tiny, wobbly table with our heads being attacked by the plants next to the table). We requested to move inside instead. They choose to place you at these tiny two-seater tables even though there are plenty of larger tables available (which all remained empty on both of our visits). Our waitress one evening took forever to wait on us, didn't greet us, didn't bring bread and butter to the table, didn't check on us after our dinners were plopped on the table to see if everything was o.k., didn't offer us any fresh ground black pepper or dessert, basically didn't do anything a server should do. Mind you, the restaurant was virtually empty! Too bad service is so, so bad, because the food is very unique and good.

Great big portions - but it was a case of quantity over quality. My husband like his pasta and meat sauce. I had the marinara sauce which was not that nce. Our server was not that friendly and I hate when they automatically ad the tip to the bill.

I was so disappointed in this restaurant. The ambiance was what you would expect in Key West and they had a lovely garden area. The food was bland and terrible. I had the clam linguini and have had better and thicker sauce at home. It was more like pasta soup. The service was brusque at best. She really seemed to be annoyed with everyone. She came up to our table as we were finishing our bottle of wine and very sarcastically told us to take our time the table was ours for the evening. We were in and out in an hour.
