Given the commercial-tourist nature of the Hard Rock brand I wasn't expecting much, however, was surprised to get pretty decent food there. It is a bit pricey, as is everything on Duval.

The food is typical Hard Rock, which is good. They have a great deck overlooking Duval Street, so it's a great place to have a relaxing lunch while you people watch. And that is always a treat on Duval Street!
My daughter was married in Key West in February which is a busy time in Key West. She and I both did lots of searching for a place to have dinner for the 29 people who attended the wedding. We picked the Hard Rock Cafe because they have a variety of menus for dinner and whatever you pick is a complete meal including gratuity and tax. If you want drinks there are choices for that too - so no hidden costs. Because we are from the midwest we wanted a varied menu including steak which they offered at a reasonable price. The upstairs room has recently been redone and is a very nice private fit for a group. The private bar and balcony accomodated us well. We found Mandy and staff very friendly. The wait staff really hustled to meet our every need. And so for the families who have already spent a lot of money on flights and hotels just to be there the Hard Rock was a good choice for a place to be together and celebrate a special event with an more than adequate meal.
Like all Hard Rock's you are definitely paying for the atmosphere. The food is not good, but the outdoor seating is gorgeous.
The BBQ Chicken is great, and the steaks are not bad. The waitress was friendly and attentive which is a rarity for Key West. For this reason I rate our experience above average. The food is overpriced, but most restaurants in Key West are.
