“Wonderful hotel and great value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

Took a last minute trip to Key West from Islamorada for a break from work and this place was wonderful. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful! Had room 13 which was perfect for the trip. A little small but how much are you in the room anyway! Pool was great, a little warm but that's expected for this time if year. The little happy hour by the pool was a nice treat as well as a yummy breakfast both included in the rate. Perfect location if your looking to walk to the party end of duval. Will definitely return here on our next getaway to key west! Thanks for the great hospitality!

All of the positive reviews are true! Location is perfect- near the action but far enough away to be quiet. Very friendly and attentive staff. Nice substantial breakfast. We stayed in room with front porch a couple of houses down and loved it!

We booked the Unforgettable Romance package and it definitely lived up to it's name! Our deluxe king room was beautiful, with lots of space and a huge bathroom and shower. We really enjoyed lounging in our room and out by the pool and enjoying the incredibly relaxed surroundings. Breakfast was very nice with lots of different options every day and I loved liming hour! The staff were friendly and laid back. We only had one issue - we requested a late check out but this got missed by the person on duty the next day so we were rushed out of our room a bit earlier than anticipated. Overall it was a great stay and we'd love to go back. The sunset cruise was fantastic, too.

This was our first time staying here. The rooms where nice and the staff was great. They made sure you had everything you needed. I loved in the morning, you could walk into the kitchen and help yourself to a pretty decent complimentary breakfast too!

From making the reservation to checking out, this was a great place. Alexander was exceptional. He helped us with our plans and even made reservations for snorkeling, dinner cruise and jet skiing for us. He took the bull by the horns and took charge! Couldn't have asked for better service! We stayed in a queen room. On the smaller side but very average size for a b&b. Clean. Breakfast was fine with plenty to choose from. Pool area was beautiful. Very enjoyable stay.

Couldn't have asked for anything more! Let my husband make the reservation for this trip and surprise me...my requests were simple...had to be in Old Town and in the right price range...(no DUMPS but Waldorf not needed!). We had never stayed in a bed & breakfast but told him if it fit the bill would give it a try.,,on our past trip to Key West we had stayed at Hyatt but the beauty and ambience of the older B & Bs had intrigued us. Just some background...we love KW for the wonderful food choices and the atmosphere...love to be able to walk everywhere. We enjoy the water etc but this was a trip to simply relax...sleep in, eat and drink well without work or our three teenagers! Cypress House was amazing! Won't even go into the beauty of grounds and structures...just know pictures don't do it justice! Our room was #12...guessing it has to be one of the nicest...huge!!!! Comfortable bed...amazing bath...shower was awesome! The location can't be beat...corner of Caroline and Simonton...in the heart of everything! Also we were a bit concerned about staying in a b & b and it not feeling private, but not to worry here...we had our own entrance and it was really like we were in our own apartment! The breakfast were so much more than we expected! Great pastries, cereals, coffee and HOT food which was a surprise..! Eating by the pool was so relaxing! Note pool is nothing major but who needs major when there are no children! We got in one afternoon to cool off...very nice...just a great setting! Parking was no hassle. We parked on street to drop off luggage and check in...parking garage was an easy 4 blocks away and the discounted rate the hotel provided was a bargain. Also the nice drinks and snacks in afternoon were a nice perk! Can NOT beat accommodations and location!! Don't hesitate to book here! We will be back!!

There's no better place to stay in Key West than the Cypress House. There is a daily hot breakfast and daily liming hour (aka: the art of doing nothing) included. Alexander allowed me to park in his parking spot twice. Chris delivered frosty pops to me as I lounged around the pool. Chris also helped us secure our trolley passes, told us to check out Pepe's and pointed us to the library for more Key West history. Dennis was phenomenal and also shared Key West history with us. Scott was funny and insisted we leave our dirty dishes and wet towels strewn about to ensure his job security for cleaning up after us pesky tourists. We refused to listen being the stubborn Americans we are. Scott shared that Europeans follow his directions so much better than we do. The Cypress House is historic with character and beautiful gardens and the rooms have a modern clean European feel. The location is ideal in the north end of old town. We plan on returning and staying at the Cypress House again - this is truly the best place to stay, best location, best service and the only place to embrace "liming hour" - the art of doing nothing every evening at 4:30pm ET.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet and nice. This is a boutique hotel and you'll love your stay!!
