We highly recommend Duval Gardens! This place was very clean! We stayed in the room facing Duval Street and it was very quiet and lovely to sit outside at night and watch everyone go by. The breakfast they served in the morning was great a big selection and the host was very friendly and hospitable. You can also rent scooters across the street. This place is in a great location. Right in the middle of Duval Street and walking distance from everything. Would definitely go back there again! We did an internet search first and found all positives about Duval Gardens and the price was very reasonable.

We stayed two nights and loved this little place. Our room was small but had a nice canopy bed, tiled bathroom and french doors to the (very, very small) pool. Great continental breakfast (coffee, juice, bagels, sweet rolls, etc.) served on the front porch. It's central to the tourist part of Key West so walking everywhere is a convenience but if you're looking for quiet and a more authentic trip to Key West it may be a bit TOO central.

Just spent one night at the last minute at Duval Gardens. Stayed in room #14, one of the newer rooms with a victorian(ish) theme. They room was located at the back of the property. Though the room was on the smaller side, we did not mind because it and the bathroom were absolutely spotless. I actually thought we were lucky because we were at the back of the inn and there was no street noise what so ever. There was a sweet little cat that liked to hang out by our room that meowed and meowed as if it were talking to you. Because we stayed on a monday we were eligible for their mid-week rate special for $109/night which was a steal if you ask me. Yes, the pool is very small but, hey, it was very refreshing to dip and the inn provides towels next to the pool which you can also bring to the beach if you wish.

Free Breakfast is served on the porch overlooking Duval Street. Great continental breakfast with coffee, tea, bagels, toasts, fresh tropical fruits, cereal, juices and danish.

Like I said above, at $109/night this pretty little inn is a great bargain and we would love to stay there again!

We just spent four nights at Duval Gardens. We had a great time. Don't get turned off by the size of the pool when you walk up. It's only about 7' x 22', but it's big enough to cool off in and relax by.
The property was nice and the location is great. It's very close to Southern Point and just a 5-10 minute walk to the heart of Duval St. We were in walking distance to everything. We didn't have a car, so parking wasn't a problem for us. They only have 7 parking spots for guest.
Our room was on the second floor and over looked Duval St. It was nice to sit on the porch late at night, have a drink, a smoke and watch the people go by. Sleeping was not a problem. It was fairly quiet and the bed was very confortable. The room was bit small, but it was clean and well kept.
Over all it was a great place to stay. I would recomend the Duval Gardens to anyone looking for a nice place to stay that doesn't cost too much ($129. per night). I would definitely stay again.

Stayed at Duval Gardens for a 4 day weekend in Feb 2005 and would return without a question. The rooms were a good size and were very clean. The location is just excellent as you can walk to just about everything you want to in Key West. Overall a good place to stay for a very reasonable price.
