Duval Gardens is a very coveniently located B&B. Driving into Key West you only have to make a left turn off US 1 (Truman Avenue) into Duval Street and you have arrived. Walking to Mallory Square takes you roughly 10 minutes which can be strenuous after a long day but on the other hand this part of Duval Street is less busy.
Staff/Owners were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The rooms were on the smaller side but spotless and nicely decorated. Breakfast is served on the front porch which is available to guests at any time to hang out, read, surf the web or simply watch people passing by. There is limited parking available but they offered us to park our car at their sister property at no charge, which I thought was a nice gesture. Next to the front porch you can find a swimming pool which is tiny but still good enough to cool off a bit if you don't feel to go to the beaches.
For a B&B pricing was suprisingly moderate and even lower than some of the less conveniently located hotels at the southwestern end of Duval street. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Key West, FL!
