My first time ever to KEY WEST, FL and a very memorable trip in so many ways. First and foremost it was the first vacation together with my partner (going on 2 years now) and much needed quality time together being that we're doing the long distance relationship. I didnt have any expectations whatsoever of KEY WEST. I went with an open mind knowing that I was going to be with my partner ABOVE and FOREMOST. The accomodations just added to the experience. Alexander's Guesthouse is clean, homey, friendly, inviting, and close enough yet far enough away from the main strip. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the pool. The living quarters were tight yet comfortable for 2. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable mattresses I've ever slept in, and it got it's workout to say the least :) The staff, very accomodating, fri
endly, and very helpful in advising on activities, restaurants, etc. HAPPY hour was great every day, and above and foremost it was QUIET enough that I went away relaxed, revived, and a smile on my face. My partner and I are talking about making this an every year event. I cant wait to go back! Even though my arthritis was worse being that close to the Equator...hehehe. My deepest thanks to the staff of ALEXANDER'S.

I recently stayed at Alexander 's and I must say it 's from far the best guest house i ever stayed. in The guest house is absolutely adorable and the rooms are great. My room has french doors giving on the first floor porch which i loved.
The staff a Alexander's was so welcoming and helpful (Laura, Philippe , Michael, Fred). They would faciltate all our reservations and they all know Key West by heart and their suggestions made my stay even better.
As for the other guests, we had a blast. The atmosphere is very friendly and having travelled by myself , i never felt left out. we went to diner several times together and had a memorable jet sky trip.The breakfast was great around the swimming pool and every one got back from their various activities for the best happy hour ever.
For my next trip, i wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else.
Leaving Key West at the end of my vacation was hard and leaving Alexander's was even harder.

I think this was one of the nicest gay and lesbian guest houses I have stayed at, quaint, charming friendly staff, excellent decor and good location. My partner and I went and would return for sure except next time I will spend more time relaxing by the pool.

We recently spent a week at Alexander's in Key West. It is by far the nicest gay/lesbian guesthouse I've experienced. The entire staff, including front desk, housekeeping, and bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our visit.

I loved our room, which had French door that led to the pool, hot tub, and deck. From talking to other guests, I don't think there's a "bad" room in the place. Some are larger, some are smaller, and some offer more privacy, but everyone seemed very pleased about their rooms.

The atmosphere, at least the week we visited, was extremely friendly. All of the rooms were full, and everyone congregated around the pool at happy hour. Many people chose to have dinner or visit local attractions with others people they met at Alexander's, but if you want to keep more to yourselves, that isn't a problem either.

We heard several times from Key West merchants, taxi drivers, etc. that Alexander's is definitely one of the best places to stay in Key West. I'd agree.
