“Engaging in a variety of ways”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

The come-on out front is really corny and continues inside in a more informative manner. But the overall is good. Lots of information on wreckers and their work if you take the time to read the exhibits and view the videos. Even the guys making changes to the exhibit initiated conversation. Don't forget the film downstairs. And the view from the tower is fine. Too bad it's not open til sunset. The $12 admission is much more worth it than spending $4.75 for a Key Lime float (one small scoop ice cream and cheap lime drink) at the ice cream/juice stand 15 feet away.

“A free museum, right on Duval”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

People walk right by this museum every day, not even realizing it is a great little spot to check out. First of all it is free, which is unheard of in Key West. It has a lot of history, being the Oldest House in Key West. But it also has a secluded little garden area behind it that provides a moment of solitude from the madness that is Duval St. Check it out sometime

“Cute”

Glad we had time to see a little history or Key West! The house is very large for being built in the 1800's

“We saw it!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

Nothing big deal about it but nice to say we saw it. Riding bike around town is fun and so you have easy access and parking to stop and see it.

“Interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

We were pushing our double stroller around the streets and passed by this house.
It was FREE so we went in. The history of the place is interesting and the grounds out back are really cool. There was room to go through the downstairs with the stroller and a guy to explain things. Worth stopping in for sure.
