“Eyebrow House our new favorite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2011

My wife and I stayed here 4 nights during the Hemingway Festival. The eyebrow house is set a block and a half from the main inn so it felt more like you were renting a home than a room. Only half a block from Duval St. The place was great! Full kitchen, wood floors, your own hot tub on the back patio. Great restaurants like Blue Heaven are close. The only drawback was finding a parking space. We were going to walk everywhere so only needed to find one spot one time, but it was a search. This wasn't the Inn's fault, just the way it can be in Key West. At least we didn't have to pay for the space I finally found. The staff was amazing! When you get there the attitude was 'Hey, grab a beer and relax.' The other guests want to have fun, so it's easy to make friends.

We did a girls trip- 4 of us about 30 yrs old. Stayed in the Madrid and Venezia, so we shared a cute little porch, it was like we were in cottages but someone came and made our bed everyday. Awesome location- literally backs up to Hamingway house (can see his pool from bathroom window!) So you are right by Duval but not the cheesy area, on the quieter section. Very peaceful here. Good mix of ages staying here, all nice people. Cute little pool, though iI found it too warm for swimming. breakfast was easy and convenient, though a little simpler than in the pics on website. Can rent bikes, borrow coolers and beach towels and snorkel gear. Plus free booze at happy hour! We were so glad we stayed here. It is nice and comfy in a wknd cottage kind of way- very Key West feeling.

(Only neg I can think of is ac unit could be a little loud and water in shower was always hot.)

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Andrews Inn very much. The location is key. The Andrews Inn is located in a peaceful little nook between Duval St. and the Hemingway House. It's far enough away from the drunken rowdiness off upper Duval, yet close enough to walk to both Southernmost point and the upper-Duval circus. We stayed in the Roma cottage and were very pleased with the room. It was very cute and very comfortable. The only negative thing worth mentioning is that the shower water-pressure is VERY weak. My wife has thick hair and it took her forever to rinse each day! Other than that, no complaints. Just a real nice quiet retreat...occasional 4 a.m. rooster calls notwithstanding. Breakfast is served by the pool each morning and is adequate. There's enough variety for just about all tastes. Coffee was good, as was the OJ (but hey, I'm in Florida, it should be!). I really enjoyed Jorge's Mango, Strawberry, honey-butter...fantastic on a toasted english muffin! Bikes can be had for $10 a day and were well worth it...they allowed us to see quite a bit of Key West without the hassle of parking a car...there is very little parking. It's easier to park in Manhattan. So, leave the car and grab a bike! After a long day at Zachary Taylor beach, it was nice to return to a cocktail by the pool. A make-shift bar is set up in the kitchen for guests to mix their own. Beer and wine are also provided during this time. A nice little gesture on their part. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at Andrews the last week of June and will gladly stay there again on return trips. We stayed in the Malaga room, which had a sofa in the room and a private patio which shared a wall with the Hemingway House. Everything was very clean and well decorated.

Breakfast was typical continental fare, with french toast, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, muffins and mimosa makings. There were tables around the pool for eating breakfast if you don't want to eat in your room.

The free happy hour had the standard alcohol (rum, vodka, whiskey, wine, etc), mixers and snacks. Most couples came back to the Inn for happy hour, since it was so hot by then and we all wanted to get in the pool. The pool could have been bigger, but it was fine for cooling off after a day of sightseeing. The people that stayed there with us were very friendly, that's one of the best parts about staying at a B&B.

The staff was great, especially Jorge! We loved Jorge, he's a definite asset for Andrews. He's very personable.

Best of all, the Inn is only a half block off Duval so it's a short walk to all of the action. But it's not too close that you hear the noise.

We loved Andrews Inn, we had a great time there and would gladly return!

We reserved based on a recommendation and were very happy with our decision. The staff members were great and really wanted us to have a good time. Free happy hour was a bonus and gave us an opportunity to chat with other guests about what they'd done during their vacation. We made some lifelong friends during our trip. My only issue was trying to regulate the water temperature in the shower. Outside of that, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Room Tip: I wouldn't bring the kids to this one.

We just returned from our anniversary weekend at the Andrews Inn- Eyebrow Cottage. We thought it was perfect for us (ages 65/58). We had the main apartment in a lovely house, immaculately clean, in a great location- it was off Duval Street on a quiet side street but close enough to walk either to the main action down toward Mallory Square or to the beach, Hemingway's House, and nice art galleries on Duval in the other direction on Duval. The apartment had a nice living room, fully equipped kitchen and dining room and separate bedroom. The kitchen had everything one would need if you wanted to cook (we mainly made our own coffee in the morning) and there was a grill on the little patio out back. The bedroom was fully equipped with a ironing board and iron (not needed in Key West-it is hard to dress "down" enough but thoughtgul nevertheless), a soap and shampoo dispenser in the shower/bathtub and great hair dryer. The living room had baskets with extra towels, books to read at the beach and more bedding (presumably for the fold out couch). There was also pretty complete cable TV service in the living room and free WiFi internet which worked on our laptop with no problem. The owners were very helpful in pointing out a few restaurants and charter boat services we might have missed without them. (One restaurant, around the corner on Duval, called "915", was so good we went there twice-they have a beautiful porch, well-ventilated with fans, and great small-tapas, styled choices in additional to their regular main courses that were perfect and the other, Blue Heaven, really had the "best key lime pie" in Key West , even though every single restaurant seems to make that claim!). There was handy (and free) parking in the nearby side streets. I had been concerned that we would be disadvantaged by being separated from the "main" house and pool, but it was really just steps away and not a problem at all- in fact, we really enjoyed the quiet at Eyebrow House away from the other guests. Someone came in every day and made the bed and straightened up. The innkeepers put out some drinks and snacks during the late afternoon around the pool area- we took advantage of a break around the pool because it was really hot during our stay. Also, there was a CVS located within short walking distance if you needed to stock up on anything else in the way of food or drinks for the fridge. In short, Andrews Inn was just perfect for our stay and would we heartily recommend it to others.

We stayed in the Treetop apartment that is part of the inn, very close to the office and main inn. We loved the location. Jorge arranged bikes for us to rent, gave us great recommendations for trips and restaurants, and was very welcoming.
While all of the island was conveniently accessed outside our door, once inside it was very private, cool and pretty.
We enjoyed having the bikes, but even for those on foot there are a number of excellent restaurants within a block or so.
