“Quiet, clean and close to everything”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

I recently stayed for two nights at the Travelers Palm Inn on Catherine Street in Old Town, Key West. It was prefect for a quiet weekend getaway. It was close enough to walk or bike to pretty much every attraction on Key West, yet several blocks away from the loud, late night madness of Duvall Street. The property itself is beautiful, with well manicured tropical landscaping and a nicely maintained small pool. The rooms are well appointed and away from one another, there was no noise from neighbors or other guests. In fact, even though the place was full, you could hardly tell others were staying there. The proprietor, Michele, is very friendly and accessible via cell phone if needed. He provides good recommendations for both recreational activities and dining. You can rent bikes from him as well, which I would highly recommend doing.

I would say the only thing that may dissuade some people is that it's not quite the traditional "B and B" experience, if that's what you're looking for. No breakfast served and no cocktail hour, no socializing with other guests, so if that's what you're looking for, check out the myriad of places both on and off Duvall Street.

If you're looking for a quiet and well appointed room, competitively priced, close to everything with friendly staff, I think this is a great pick. I would stay here again.

So nice to relax by the pool, walk to Duvall St or Frenchies Cafe for morning coffee. The rooms are so well decorated and comfortable, it feels like a home rather than an inn. I hate to let too many people in on this great little place for fear we won't be able to get reservations again. This was our second stay here and we would definitely do it again.

Room Tip: No kids allowed which makes for a very quite, restful stay.

Travelers Palm is great have stayed there 4 times & it is the only place we will stay been going to KW for 12 years now & stayed in many different places & nothing can compare to Travelers Palm.

The pool/gardens are beautiful set up in such a way where you can meet other guests & enjoy good conversation.

Michel is very welcoming & can always provide a good reccomendation.

Room Tip: They are alll GREAT

My husband and I along with one other couple stayed in Casa Caracol for wonderful 4 nights! We cannot say enough about the warm welcome we received from Michel. He took the time to show us around our cottage, the property and even gave us a map to show us where he recommends eating for various meals and points of interest to see while we were in Key West. The property itself is its own little oasis! The gardens are gorgeous and although the property is surrounded by other homes, once you walk through your gate you would never know it because of the lovely trees and flowers that surround you. There is a pool on the property that is shared by the three cottages, a grill to use for cooking if you desire and even bikes for rent. The cottage itself was very clean, with cleaning service daily. the only possible complaint and I can't even really call it that, is that the water pressure in the shower wasn't great, but I have a feeling that has more to do with the pressure on the island. The decorating is fantastic and the beds were extremely comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Key West!!!

This was our first trip to Key West. When we come back we will definitely be staying at Travelers Palm Inn. So relaxing an comfortable just like home! Cottages are beautiful and clean. Private Jacuzzi was a definite plus. Close enough to Duval Street did not need a car is within walking distance to most hot spots. Can't wait to go back!

This was our first experience staying off of Duval St, and we will forever be repeat customers. Michel welcomes you like he has known you for years, his knowledge and love for Key West shows, from recommendations for Best Cuban Coffee, to Best Breakfast, to Best Dinner, he has it all. He was good enough to take the time to hand us a map, and plot all the locations for us. The Traveler's Palm, is less than one mile from the start of Duval Street, and 4 or 5 blocks to the Southernmost Point. So if you want to get a cab, virtually anywhere on the island it is 3 dollars per person. To come in from the craziness on Duval to the Exotic Garden Michel has created is a beautiful reminder that you are on a tropical island. Once again, thank you to Michel! We look forward to next year and many more to come after! Also having El Siboney (Best Cuban Mix!) across the street was an extra special treat, and a 5 minute walk to Sandy's for the best Cafe Con Leche and the best Buchi!

Great location in Key West. Our studio was comfortable, clean and tastefully appointed. It was convenient to have bike rentals on the property. We didn't need to use our car at all, as you can get pretty much anywhere on bikes. The inn has a lovely ambiance with lush landscaping on a quiet street. Michel was a helpful host.
The only downfalls: There was some sound transference from the adjoining unit; and, we found the water pressure in the shower to be rather weak.
We had a really nice stay in Key West and would recommend this accommodation.
