Just returned from the Keys. We stayed 7 nights at 1800 Atlantic. Perfect stay. Pool was perfect, Tennis courts were excellent with no waiting, and the unit was great for two couples and a toddler.

Make sure you splurge for the ocean view room on the fourth floor. There are not that many units available, as some are owned and lived in year round, so make your reservation early.

It is a mile or so from Duval and secluded from the bustle of Smathers beach. This is the perfect quiet place to get away for the day, then head to Duval for the evening.

Took a private charter with Captain Bob on the Double Decker 26' sailboat. It was perfect and very cost effective.

Possible Drawbacks:
Choose a unit on the 1st or second floor and you get no view. Choose a unit not on the inner circle and get a nice street view...

Cannot wait to go back next year.

I've stayed at 1800 Atlantic many times. Most stays were great. If you fight the price your Room Location goes down with the price to accomodate you. If you want the very best ocean view room the price is higher than parking lot rooms. The property is 50/50 owner/renter so the security upholds a blend of duties in paradise. Each unit is individually owned and uniquely furnished, its not a hotel, its like home. I highly recommend this property, Room location matters alot.

This is a great deal for larger groups or people who just want the extra space. Didn't have any of the problems the other person had... It was a great deal for the price

overpriced rooms elavator did'nt work a/c not the best fridge needed work could not get maintenence to the room, but manager did call 2 mornings in a row before 9 to let us know our check-out time was at 10:00 had grand-kids with us they could not even play with a beach ball in the pool even though they were the only ones in the pool. If your half dead or a geriatric this is the place for you if you have a heart beat left in you avoid this place it's a real let down especially after paying 1050 for 6 nights there are much better places to stay in the keys for this amount
