My husband and I stayed here even after reading some harsh reviews on tripadvisor. The beachfront location, pool, and island style were appealing and we were not disappointed. Hotel staff was cordial and very accomidating. Though we didn't spend much time at the resort, I wish we had stayed longer to enjoy excessive pool and hammock time. (There are literally hammocks every 5 feet; a very nice accommodation.) The rooms were clearly recently redone and the bathroom, though small, was beautifully tiled and shower (pressure) was hot/awesome. I was charged a 10$ per night resort fee for booking online; if i had known that i would have called them directly. My constructive criticism since ive noticed the managers of the resort read TA; the room we stayed in needed some kind of rug or welcome mat. It was raining when we arrived and impossible to not track dirt into the room immediately, would be nice to have something to wipe your feet off on before jumping into the bed. Also, the lowlight of the stay was being woken up at 9 AM by lawn crew maintenance men who were refacing the foliage outside of our room (before July 4th weekend.) After hearing them shouting in Spanish for 10 or so minutes, I had to go outside and using my best Spanish, ask them to quiet down. (" Shhh.... Necessito Dormir" or "Shhh... I need to sleep" ... To be specific) beyond that we enjoyed our stay and wish there was more time to spend at the resort.
