The Angelina turned out to be much more than we expected. It's location a block or two from Duval Street and just around the corner from Blue Heaven (the best breakfast in Key West) was perfect for us. We stayed in a very small room with a full size bed, and no tv, but it was just right. The room and bathroom were very clean and well kept up.

We spent much of our time at the pool, which felt like it was our own. It was surrounded by lush plants and vegetation which helped create a nice and relaxing experience. The resident cats were friendly and enjoyed lazing at the pool, as well. Also provided for guests, were complimentary beach towels and sunscreen.

At one point during our stay, some unruly guests showed up (a little drunk and causing trouble). It was less than two hours and the owners had contacted the police and had them escorted off the property-they never even spent one night. Following this incident, the owners created a "happy hour" for all guests (providing their own beer and wine) to apologize for any inconvenience. I've not seen such hospitality anywhere else.

The Angelina is not for the spring break crowd, nor for families with children, which made it perfect for us and anyone else looking for a nice getaway.

The Angelina House was a great place to stay in Key West! It was very clean and the breakfast was great. The pool was so refreshing after walking all day! Janet and Stephanie were so sweet!! The location is also great, we didn't even move our car the entire time we were there! I would recommend this to everyone!!

We stayed at the Angelina july 3rd-6th. The hotel is close to everything! We enjoyed the breakfast and the office staff was very kind and helpful. Yes this hotel is in Bahama Village but don't let that stop you from feeling right at home, the locals even helped me secure a parking spot :) The rooms are clean and the hotel is quiet. The hotel was "sold out" and we never heard another soul. Can't wait to return!!

My husband and I stayed at the Angelina for 6 nights at the beginning of June and just loved it. It feels totally authentic to Key West, with locals living nearby and tons of character and charm.

We rented bikes and did not move our car the whole time, which I would definitely recommend. Although the hotel is situated on a quieter street, it's easy to walk or bike anywhere on the island.

We booked one of the shared-bath rooms - it was small, but clean and cozy with lots of sunlight - and a steal at $69/night! The 2 bathrooms are only shared among 3 rooms, so we never had to wait, and there is a common room with a fridge and mini-kitchen where we stored snacks and drinks. Our room was on the upper level, which I would probably request again in order to avoid a bit of the street noise that is typical in Key West.

Breakfast is simple (aside from the delicious home-made cinnamon rolls) but will fill you up for a day of sightseeing. The staff is incredibly helpful, even booking a fishing trip for us, and our afternoon ritual became laying by the amazingly tranquil pool until dinner-time.

My only complaint is the sporadic water temps - my shower often switched between really hot and cool, but otherwise I can't imagine a better place to stay in Key West for the price!
