Recommended to me by a constant keys traveler. GREAT location, beautiful room, staff was very friendly on site....only issue was when i made the reservation...the lady who took it was rude and snotty...but I live in South Florida so I am used to it....that is why they have only 4 stars!

My wife and I stayed at La Mer for two nights and three days in July. The property was amazing. The rooms were quiet and cool. The bed was extremely comfortable.

The morning breakfast was excellent. Sitting on the porch and watching the ocean while eating fresh fruit and pastries was very relaxing.

Since this B and B is within the Southernmost properties you have access to several pools, plenty of parking (spots are a little narrow ... but not a ton of parking in Key West anyway), and a cool pier that lets you walk right down some steps into the ocean.

Our host, Randall, was super. Very polite and attentive. We were definitely on the quiet end of Duval, which suited us just fine, but the island is not that big and we were able to get every where on foot without any problem.

Don't hesitate to book a stay at this location.

My wife and I just spent one of the most relaxing weekends and we thought we were in heaven . The room and the surroundings were great ! And the staff that worked there were so pleasant we just could not believe it. Everything that we heard about the grounds and the hotel was pleasant.
And even the Southernmost cafe the food was very good and also the staff there they were great also.

We stayed for a night at the Dewey House and were happy about the level of service we received at check-in, with easy parking and a complete walk-through of the premises. The room was well-appointed and featured french doors opening to a private deck with not much of a view, but beautiful tropical plants all around and easy access to the beach.

Unfortunately, it rained for part of our stay, so we didn't venture out to the beach or the pool, but the water looked beautiful. Breakfast was nice under the covered porch looking out to the ocean. The hostess for breakfast was nice, but maybe a little too eager.

A few down points: the towels were a bit rough, the room smelled a little like cleaning products and the air conditioning took a while for the room to get cool. Other than that, no complaints. Great location to the southernmost point and close to shops and restaurants on Duval Street.
